  • Agree and disagree. I think it is a combination of factors that led to a society where women are seen as sex objects while men are valued for their brain, power and logic etc. Yes, women themselves are allowing it by falling for it, participating and acting like sleazy ho's. But at the same, it goes both ways. Men catcalling for example is still a asshole thing to do. There's no reason to do it. You are not a animal that requires a mating call. The main and BIG issue here is we are in a oversexualized, sex obsessed era where people in general have little to no sexual values anymore, people act like animals with no self control and sex is everything.

    • With so many "How do I find someone" questions inherently maybe we need a mating call 🤣🤣 I agree with you though

  • I agree to some extent because those who sexualize themselves have learned that they can get what they want if they do so.
Men become prey to these things so obviously those girls are using it as weapon, to get what they want.

In case of Instagram models, they want attention and its no secret that if you sexualize yourself you'll get plenty of it.
So yeah, I agree lots of women chose to be sexualized but those who do are not complaining about it. Its kind of cycle in my opinion.

What Girls & Guys Said

  • Very very true. I completely agree.

  • I think it's a bit simplistic to say that women chose to be sexualised.
People who are in their 20s and even 30s today grew up to images of women being sexualised. We don't know anything else. And your choices are just a product of your environment.
Why do you think 10 year old girls dress in a way that 60 years ago not even prostitutes would have dressed like? Because they want to be sexualised or because they think it's normal and expected?

by the way, if you've ever read "The Fate of Empires" an obsession with sex, rampant sexual immorality as well as irresponsible pleasure seeking, are signs a civilization (or empire) is in the more advanced stages of decline. So if you find that women are sexualised, no matter whose fault it is, be worried... be VERY worried...

    • It is concerning. Also of concern is how viciously you will be attacked if you express disapproval of this.

  • Completely laughable. Just look at some of the dresses worn by celebrities showing full cleavage boobs barely restrained at recent awards shows this year while trying to support metoo and timesup. What a joke.

  • Agree and disagree. The women who are stars choose to expose themselves, but they are doing it because there is no other way for them to further their career then to push boundaries. And young women see this, and follow in the footsteps of their favorite celebrities. Because if a celebrity wears it (in their mind) it must be acceptable. Most women dont dress a certain way with the intent of recieving sexual comments, which can be humiliating and scary. So while its their choice to put on the clothing; they aren't choosing to be treated like less of a human, and there is no valid reason for someone who dehumanize another person, regardless of what they wear. It is always the fault of the person who "can't resist" making degrading comments.

  • Plenty of women want to be represented in media but are unable, because they're not comfortable being sexualized

  • Well some do, others no, it depends.. but the girls who clearly post half naked pictures of themselves yes.

  • Some do. If a girl wears an overtly sexy outfit and struts around in front of cameras winking and wiggling her booty and bouncing her cleavage then she chose to be sexualized. If a woman wants me to fall in love with her mind she should consider dressing like a librarian.

  • Agree but this isn't surprising since our children are also sexualized. They grow up to be this... Its sickening and sad.

  • As women, it feels good to be desired, wanted, sexy. It doesn’t feel good to be seen as an object, a belonging. There’s a difference, and it’s time the media learned it.

  • "Stop sexualizing me!"

Proceeds to do "slut walk" with tits and ass hanging out.

    • we can't control ur mentality

    • They do that because it attracts attention, and when you are fighting for a cause any attention causes a debate to spark about the issue. It seems like it worked on you, but id just like to mention that most women have never been a part of these walks so is that really a valid reason to dehumanize all women?

    • @Gianna17 Other women should condemn these actions as well then, rather than keeping quiet.

  • They certainly know now what they're getting into and yet everyone still wants to be that girl so yes I'd agree

  • I agree

  • we were sexualized even before there were bikinis, even before we wore revealing clothes so shut up

  • I agree. Its disgusting.

  • Approved

  • Agreed

  • Yes 99% of the time

  • The market (which is 80% female) decided to support sexualising women. So yes, women chose to be sexualised in media, albeit indirectly.

  • Women love to be treated like objects.
Gag itself is proof to that. Just put in the search "Guys, do you prefer boobs or ass?"

  • These days I think it’s more their choice
