I'd call the dude out on his shit. Make it loud and a big deal and bring attention to him. I'm not a big intimidating guy so confronting him would certainly not end well for me but that doesn't change that fact that that is wrong. So just being loud and announcing it to everyone else on the bus would be my best option. If that didn't work I would get more involved despite my size. 5'9 135lb.
