I don't think you can say all women that act this way do it because they're insecure just like you can't say all women that do it do it because they're confident.
I think women that do this do it for their own reasons. It's very possible it has to do with them being insecure and needing male validation or it could be that they're comfortable with their sexuality and enjoy portraying it in this way. To me, it's just another role play depending on how far the woman chooses to take it.
However, if a woman wants to live her day to day life as an airhead that acts like her entire worth is based on what she has between her legs I kind of feel that's a insecurity issue rather than her having confidence.
I feel if a woman truly is confident then she wouldn't have to be a "bimbo" because she knows she brings more to the table then three holes and a pair of tits but perhaps plays the part from time to time for kicks with her partner.

They come off rather "confident" to me more often than not in my experience because they don't seem to have any shame for what they are. Actually bimbos come across as some of the most confident fun-loving girls I've met, perhaps if only because they're living in a state of blissful ignorance with double digit IQs. :-D

I always thought a bimbo was in a shirt sense, "ass and tits." No brain. I see them a lot in the industry though. They make a lot of money to have so-called "No brain." I think for some women they may be insecure, but for a lot of them, it's all about the money and lifestyle that follows being a bimbo. Giving the idea they are stupid only to live lavish and get paid a lot. I've seen a lot be very confident as well. So I don't know, maybe it depends on the woman. You have posers for money, real bimbos, and people who become them they think that's all they can be to survive.

The REAL definition of a bimbo is: an attractive but empty-headed young woman, especially one perceived as a willing sex object. I feel as though this doesn't mean that these women aren't smart, but their priorities are just different. They perceive physical attractiveness as a vital factor to their wellbeing and success, where as knowledge, or wit isn't as important to their lives. Doesn't make them insecure..

Well the word bimbo is derogatory in a sense. I dont know why anyone would want to be a bimbo per say. Maybe they just want to dress up in another hidden aspect of their personality or be let loose and free or something. I think its a highly individual question.
No nice girl has to be considered a bimbo. She either is one or isn't. If she happens to form into one, you need to ask yourself how come? Is it an image she alone created because her fans may have expected her to be someone she isn't? Everyone has a story on here. It takes understanding to see this.
