Some young women may fantasise about older men but most probably don't. I think it's safe to say that most young women would want to be with someone close to their own age. The reality is that both genders generally find youthfulness to be attractive.

1. Because if they did then we would see a much larger number of young women partnering with older men and that is clearly not happening. 2. Most men over the age of 40, who are being honest, will tell you that they became less visible to women once they reached 40. 3. I've heard plenty of young women talk about "creepy old men" or say that they're not interested in someone who's as old as their dad.

Adolescent girls who become infatuated with their male teachers is not unheard of. However it is just an infatuation and it usually passes. Teenagers get older, they mature and the fantasies and crushes that they had when they were teenagers usually become something that they look back on and laugh about. Now tell me how do you define an older man? A man over 50?

You define an older man as 25 plus? That's not much of an age gap then because you previously defined young women as anyone up to 25. So if a 24 year old woman is romantically interested in a 26 year old guy I would say that is pretty normal. That's not what I would call a young woman and an older man relationship. In my own relationship there is a 16 year age gap between us because I am 45 and she is 29. But I don't really consider her and a 'girl' because she was already in her late 20s when we met and she is independent and mature. So in spite of the age gap it's not really that obvious. But as for women under 25 fantasising about men, say over 45, I think it is very uncommon.

@RIVERTAY888 Again I'm not saying it doesn't happen but I just don't believe that it is very common. I believe that it is normal that young women are more romantically attracted to young men. Both men and women are biologically programmed to find youthfulness attractive. Now I'm not judging, as I mentioned there is a bit of an age gap in my own relationship, and if a 52 year old man is in a happy relationship with a 22 year old woman then I would wish all the best for them. But I believe that such relationships are the exception not the norm.

@RIVERTAY888 The only places where I have observed an open willingness of younger women to date older men is in Philippines and Thailand. I've not yet been to Philippines but I know if lots of older men married to younger Filipina women. In Thailand it's the same. But the reason why young women from those countries like older men is mostly for economic reasons.

Yes, I totally agree with you. Looking back, it is odd to think that people do not realize that females are as sexual, including fantasies, as we are and that older men are on the agenda. As a teen, I certainly fantasized about older women and desired women older than me even later in life. My wife is 5.5 years older than me. I dated a woman 9y 1m older than me. When I was 33, I lusted tremendously for a woman who was 15.5 years older than me.
