Why exactly are people so obsessed with porn? PornHub (the worlds most popular porn site) gets 75 million people logging into their site daily. That's disgusting. There have actually been numerous studies which prove that porn negatively effects the brain and causes problems in relationships and what not. Many young men cannot get erect enough when having real sex... or are dissatisfied with real sex... because of porn. That's ridiculous. Almost all men watch porn - regularly. Disgusting. Porn degrades women and creates unrealistic expectations for real sex. Porn has affected men quite badly in this day and age. Women too. Most women watch porn as well, while they do watch is less than men do... they prefer very "kinky" and perverted types of porn... such as orgies and groups sex... bondage... degradation... and even fetishize "interracial sex" which is very Racist and wrong in my opinion. Women are actually the worse off when it comes to porn, judging by the types of porn they watch. Kinda gross to think about... you're 15 year old daughter is masturbating to a bunch of black guys fucking one girl... that's not what sex should be about. What's wrong with people? Why do women love hardcore sex so much more than guys do? Guys typically watch "vanilla" porn. I guess this shows us what women are truly up to.

Here's the disgusting part: Most people are exposed to porn at age 11. Porn ins accessible very easily to CHILDREN and the Government or people don't say anything about this.

Pretty much, all I'm asking is why are people these days so OBSESSED and in LOVE with pornography. I'm sure it's causing major problems among men and women... we just don't know it yet. What do you think? Oh, and this doesn't include masturbation without porn... pretty much everyone masturbates which is actually very healthy... it's the just the porn side of masturbating which is actually quite detrimental to our mental health and how we view sex and the opposite sex.

Porn is really dumbing people down to the point of a mental illness, and the numbers involved surely explain why we live in a dysfunctional society (you are an example of that).

I can't say much about the solutions, but the first step would come when people start to question why porn is necessary for their lives (it isn't). Why should anyone waste their time with fake sex performed by paid actors who invariably are also very disturbed individuals? Awareness campaigns surely would be welcome and it could follow the example of the anti-tobacco campaigns. For the brain, porn is toxic just like, let's say, tobacco or cocaine, all addictions are behavioral.

That's false, and groups like the APA etc do not make this claim. Porn effects everyone differently. People prone to compulsive or addictive behavior can fall into problematic and harmful use, but the vast majority of people have no negative effects.

Porn is one of those interesting things that we know most look at it among some age groups but not all admit it. Some look at it totally for fantasy as most times that is what it is. Most women would not do or want many things done in porn to them.
