Girls, seriously, what is the point of Try On Haul Videos?

Youtube is littered with girls posting videos of their shopping hauls and trying on the clothes (a lot if it bikinis) from said hauls. I really don't understand the point of it. They're basically broadcasting themselves wearing skimpy outfits/bikinis and labeling it as "haul try on".

These girls are all the typical highschool preps, blonde bombshell types with suppsedly "rocking bods" (tons of girls comment saying this) and usually their other videos do not have that many views. Their try on videos, however, sometimes reach over a million. Hmmmm, I wonder why? Guys masturbating to free material... for sure. Why not just invite the entire world into a changing room and become an exhibitionist? Oh wait... they're already doing that too.

  • The reason is quite simple: To seek attention and validation from others. Notice at least one of the girls would be propping her breasts up, pulling and stretching the piece of fabric in front of her breasts, putting emphases there. At least one of the girls would be taking run-down views of only her body, not the outfits at all. Attention seeking that is, and needing validation from others about their bodies.

    • Best answer so far and absolutely correct. Just needed to hear a woman themselves admit it.

    • Thank you, but I was not "admitting," since I do not and will never do something like that... The sight of me wearing skimpy clothes belongs to my man.

    • Of course, I agree.

  • Honestly, this was so disgusting to watch. Who seriously needs attention that badly that they'll post a video of themselves half-naked on the internet?

    • Agreed. Absolutely disgusting. Youtube is full of it too. A lot of female youtubers, their whole channel is this shite.

    • Apparently that's how lonely we all are.

  • Lol have seen that first girls videos. And worst all it’s her boyfriend that films them. Sure she is good looking and great body. But really. Attention whore.

    • Wowwww. That makes it even worse. What self respecting boyfriend would film that?

    • Ah, no judgement or resentment.

  • Money, desperation, exhibitionism, materialism, "look at meeee" and wank material for the plebs.

    • Thanks for MHO!

    • And lonliness. That says to me (including all of the above) you include lonliness.

What Girls & Guys Said

  • They are seeking attention and validation. They are what we consider attractive because very attractive women feel a lot of pressure to look good because they are always being told how good they look and we as humans tend to hear the opposite.

  • I think they make some money with the companies that send them the clothes.

  • I thought you said try on UHauls. 😂 I was like: 😶 Wtf?

    • ROFLMAO

    • @Bricealan It's all of the above, but it's also exploitation and/or kiddie porn if they are under age.

  • You answered your own question. They do it for views.

  • WEll, I like to watch 'em!!! 😜😜😜😜😜😜😜

  • Maybe they're sponsored to do it. Other than that doesn't really concern me anyway.

  • Lol it’s commercial. They get paid to wear that stuff. Didn’t know that?

    • I obviously know it is paid. But they don't have to objectify themselves like that and sell themselves out lol. It's sad.

    • People do worse things for money

  • For some it's to show off their body, for others it's to show off the product and for others still it's to fulfill a contractual obligation aka sponsors.
You can usually tell the differences based on how much unnecessary skin is shown or how many ads are in the video.

  • YouTubes audience is mostly male and naked or half naked attractive bodies generate the most views= most money. Easy as that.

  • I've never heard of this before or seen one. I watched a little bit of the first one, and it sounds like she gets free products for doing this.

Or at least that was my impression.

  • What do you mean "supposedly" rocking bods? These girls are stupidly fucking hot. But that doesn't mean that these videos aren't really, really annoying despite that-- they are annoying.

    • Girls that do dumb shite like this and wear such gross things are automatically not hot to me anymore. I hate narcissists and show-offs.

  • to sexualize themselves to get views, subscribers that means more money.

bottom line its for money then attention.

  • Not really my thing.

    • Me neither

  • just amazes me with stuff like this

    • Amazes me too.

  • you gay? Just wondering why your complaining.

    • Nope, not gay. Just can't these kinds of girls. I value modesty and old fashioned morals.

  • Because it's sexy as fuck

  • It's to show other girls how the items fit so that they don't have to try them all on themselves, if the girl in the video is the same size.

  • Spon com/ free stuff: YouTube money if they get big enough.

  • Money.

  • Women love objectifying themselves.

    • They sure do!

    • Excuse you? Not all of us do. Only those who seek attention and validation from others do.

    • Those girls do that also because there are guys who masturbate with the sight of their bodies, as @InTimoreDei mentioned, so people facilitate them posting more of those. If nobody looked at them, they might learn that they're just wasting resources with those bikinis, filming and posting those videos.
