When your going to take a shower, and he's around. You could invite him to join you while your walking into the bathroom/away. And say something like "you can join me." That way you dont have to look at him while inviting him to try something new.
It's not that bad. Why not try this. Once he it out, go take yours and come out in just a tool and lay down next to him and see how he reacts.
