Why are people so defensive of their sex drive, what do you think your sex drives says about you?

I’ve noticed, in life, that men
Like to believe they have the highest sex drive. I’m just not sure why they feel that way.

I think sadly this is a result of women being often scared or taught they should be ashamed of their sexuality. Women often have a higher sex drive than their male counterparts, but because in life many people consider that "slutty" or "hoochy" (yes, some people still say fucking "hoochy") they keep it to themselves... Which means men get the impression they aren't sexually driven, which means men talk about sex more (because for some reason it's ok for men to be a bunch of horny dick heads but not ok for women to want an orgasm every day...)

Perhaps some do. I wish I had a lower sex drive when I was younger. You do a lot of stupid shit when you are young and horny. Trust me there are days when you wish it was lower. Sex drive during puberty is an "affliction." My sex drive is still too much for my lovers I definitely don't wish it was higher or need to beat anyone at it.

And I do know a girl who has lost all her sex drive and she misses it badly... and so has her co worker.

People should wish for matching sex drives with their partners.

Its partly a matter of chemistry , i. e the mans testosterone levels are 10 to 15 times larger than a females and testosterone is the hormone that give both men and women their libido. The brain is also responsible for a lot of our sexual desire. When I was in High School and college I think my sex drive was inordinately high and its stayed that way for many years after college. All some men need is to see a girls sexy legs, butt or boobs and he can get an erection and wants to have sex or have an ejaculation (orgasm) at times. Obviously I can't speak for women but men are more visually oriented creatures sexually and various female body parts sexually arouse us enough to give us an erection & makes us lust for the females body ~ we are "slaves to our lust" for the females body and to have sex with them. Nature made it this way to insure the survival of the human species. If men were not so horny and crave sex as much as they do the human race would have never survived. God or mother nature decided to put extreme pleasure in having sex so a man would insert his erect penis in a females vagina. If it didn't feel exceptionally good he would never have even tried it. lol

Dropped from stupidly high , to not really bothered , which for any man , esp me as a single dad , is a huge blessing !! I don't think men are defensive about it , a large percentage of men view it as a biological curse , as males have on average , much higher sex drives than women , and much more restricted access to sex than a woman.
