Are friends with benefits supposed to go on dates?

My friends with benefits cooks me dinner. Takes me out and I have met his family. He acts like we are a couple around his family and friends. He tells me that he loves me. Should I run?(btw, we have been friends with benefits for 6years.)

If you think there is more to it than SO then you should ask him but before you do, re-evaluate yourself as well if you feel comfortable and happy about the way he is treating you then it would be best to take it to the next level and commit..FWB is such an over-rated topic nowadays you being in that situation would know the pros and cons..sometime either party will feel something and fell for the other while the other doesn't..as on your case better have a talk with him I think there really more to it why not give it a try..

look, you may have started it this way, but it didn't end this way. You're a girlfriend. If you don't like it, then tell him and drop him if he won't go back to what you want. But if you wanted to be his girlfriend, then you're already there... you just need to change titles. And tbh, is a title really that important?

I think a title is important. If I'm a girlfriend than why not give me that title? If I'm a girlfriend than wouldn't he want to claim me as one? I mean as we stand now I am free to see whomever.I feel it is the guys place to "claim" his woman. I posted this because I have always been the "girlfriend" in the few relationships that I have had. This is the only friends with benefits relatship that I have ever had, even the title "fwb" is what I call it, because in the beginning it fit our relationship.
