Define virginity and the answer becomes obvious.

Does "virginity" mean that you have never experienced penile-vaginal penetration? Then many lesbians will forever be virgins. Girls who have had oral sex with every guy in school are still virgins. Girls who have had anal sex with 50 different guys are still virgins.

If that is what the word "virgin" means, then it is a rather meaningless label, isn't it?

Does "virgin" refer to a girl having her hymen intact? Some girls are born without a hymen. Some girls rupture their hymens as a result of an injury. That definition is not very useful.

For many people, the concept of "virginity" refers to sexual innocence and a lack of adult knowledge of sexual matters. Using that definition, a girl who has never had PIV sex but has given 4 different boyfriends oral sex is not a virgin. And a guy who has had anal sex with a girl is also not a virgin.

So. . . which definition do you want to use?

People tends to see hymen break or vaginal penetration as loosing virginity.  Though you can say by doing anal you lost your ANAL VIRGINITY.

Virginity is a ridiculous idea that people waste way too much thought on, and it's pretty much only used to shame people, either for having sex, or for not having sex. It's silly. There's a huge variety of intimate acts you can engage in, and you can and should try whatever you and your partner are interested in.
