  I'm becoming an LMT (licensed massage therapist) in a couple months. Having people relate massage therapy with prostitution isn't good for our profession, it's so cringy. We've been fighting to get away from that for some time so whenever people say "masseuse" or associate our profession with sex it's annoying. Especially when you're working on someone and they think you're there for their "happy ending".

  @TonyBologna25 , I have travelled in almost all Asian countries and have been living in a Southeast Asia country for 6 years and can assure you that you are so wrong in saying "professional massages in Asia come standard with a handjob at the end" Yes, there are massage places that will do that but they are generally down-market places where the girls give handjobs for money, same as in western countries. Professional massage places/spas in Asia do NOT give massages that come standard with handjobs at the end !! The experience you outline suggests you believe @Dinklex3 is right, the vast majority of licensed massage spas & licensed therapists are too professional and leave the kind of massage you're talking about to girls who charge for those 'extras'
