Personally (stepping into my science smocks for a sec), that is one of those things you can tack to genetics: there are two main groups who have "anti-smeg" bacteria in their epidermis that is naturally occurring. (One is from African stock, and the other from Proto-Indo-European)
Their lineages wouldn't *naturally* have a susceptibility to developing it. (Which is where that whole hygiene thing comes from)
The primary cause of it is either poor hygiene after sex or masturbation when residue from either pre-ejaculate (in men) or effluvia (in women) remains in those areas, and becomes a breeding ground for other viruses and bacteria who then colonize it, making the "ick".
(And, yeah, they can make fun of you for it, because tbch, it takes all of a second to remember to wipe it off w/ a clean finger [& then clean the finger!]...)😉

Uncut and I never have it accumulate even if it can probably form. The only time I remember seeing that was around the time I was first able to retract it and didn't quite figure out how to clean it yet. I wash every day in general but it would take about 1 week of not cleaning to see any of that crap.

Sometimes but rarely because I try to keep up my hygiene... In my opinion, it is a real smart move for the guy to use an antibacterial penis health crème to keep things extra clean down there because transferring nastiness is easy and commonβ¦ this can lead to odors/ infections etc. You can get one online. Smegma is a combination of shedskin cells, skin oils, and moisture. There is no debate amongst actual scientists as to the contents. Historically there was some confusion as to the origin of smegma but that had also been settled.
