  • Split the difference. During the fall and winter months, I grow a beard. Then for spring and summer I go clean shaven.

Actually, I am not a huge fan overall of the trend toward beards - especially when you consider that men are shaving everything else. I mean, how does that work? Too lazy to shave your face every day, but your chest, armpits and "down there?" (Truth in advertising, I did shave my body hair one time to surprise my girlfriend. She was surprised all right - she hated it.)

For my part, I hate cold weather and anything that even marginally makes me warmer is a plus. Hence the "winter beard." Plus, my girlfriend likes it for a little while - she says that when I am naked all that hair, body and facial, makes me look very raw and animal and it is kind of sexy.

However, by the time I shave off the beard in spring, we are both ready to see it go. Plus, I have to admit that I get a kick out of it the first time I come downstairs clean shaven my kids get all excited. I have no idea why, but they all shout "Daddy!" and run to me and try to touch my face.

It is really cute. So put me down for 50/50 with maybe a slight tilt to clean shaven.

  • Well I voted neither positive or negative. There are good and bad points. I guess I love having facial hair cause I haven’t been clean shaven since it started growing when I was 12. Unlike some guys I’ve actually got a good beard (though I keep it styled as a goatee), and it grows really quickly. Which is the bad part for me, cause I have stubble again after like 5 or 6 hours. It’s fine if I don’t have anything important to do. But if I have somewhere I have to look professional I have to be I’ll have to shave twice in a day.

I have to admit when I was little I looked forward to having facial hair. Personally I’d rather be able to grow a good beard and have to shave it, then to be a guy that can’t really grow any facial hair at all and want it. My cousin can barely grow any facial hair, and he is blonde so what he has is nearly invisible on him. He actually has a bit of a complex because of it.

  • Well considering I'm a girl, facial hair is definitely not something I want. I mean we all have those little barely visible fluff hairs but nothing you could consider stubble haha if I grew a beard I'm pretty sure my boyfriend would be having a stern word with me 😂

  • God forbid I grow facial hair, and I'm not a big fan of it on guys (other than 5 o'clock shadow or a bit scruff, rawr!)
You ever tried kissing a guy with a beard? It's like when you find hair in your food, only it's everywhere and has a tongue.
    Nah.

  • I've full beard, growing a full beard will actually change your looks drastically, because you won't look like 14 year old anymore. However, beards MUST be maintained just like your hair if you trim them correctly and used some beard oil they won't grow patchy and it won't look like porcupine. It's like your normal hair you take good care of it. It will look nice , you don't. Then you will end up with teenage moustache and patchy beard. That's why doesn't work for everyone (I mean if you genetically can grow a beard, because not all guys can)

  • I don’t feel anything tbh, I just remove it since I like my face smooth :)

  • I personally need at least some facial hair to keep from looking like I am underage. Plus it makes my head look less round.

  • I dont like facial hair on a guy UNLESS ITS A TRIMMED GOATEE. thats hawt

  • cause i look awsome with beard XD
and not like a 12 year old boy

    • I like the positivity 👌👌👌

  • I don’t want facial hair. I think I’ll look weird with a beard.

  • I'm indifferent. Neither love it, nor hate it.

  • I look like a child without my beard :)

  • annoyed cause I'm a female. Sexy, if a guy can grow it without it looking patchy.

  • I'm ok with it. My g/f on the other hand has some issues with her own beard. But I tell her, "I love you for you"...

  • I would not be happy. At all.

  • I think its sexyy

    • For the guy, not if I grew it 😆

  • As a woman, i dont like it 😂😂😂

  • Genetics suck😊💜🤙

  • Incredibly annoying when you see a fellow teen walking around trying to sport facial hair. It is so gross when it is patchy. I can't grow any good looking facial hair yet, but 5 o'clock shadow, stubble, and some beards on some guys look great.

  • Cool.

It gives you the option to change your look around, like even if you're mostly clean shaved, you've still got the option of growing one if you want, like it'll only take a week or so and you could have a very different look.

  • I have a viking-style undercut with a full beard. It used to be about a foot long and braided, but I got it cut down to about 2 inches at the beginning of the summer.

I get it trimmed every 2-3 weeks by a barber. If I can't make it into the shop, I trim it up myself with a Dovo Bergischer Lowe, which has a Spanish Tip useful on beards

  • I used to not want it but since two years I do have a short beard. Turns out it's far less annoying to have to shave once every week instead of every day.

  • I barely grow any, but if I grow it out I'll have a hispanic shade above my mouth and pubic hairs around my chin, so I'd rather just wait until I can grow a proper beard and that's if I ever grow one.

  • Yeah, i hate that women mustache. That all the women in my family get about the age of 30 something. I hope that gene passed me.
