When it comes to what makes a person become turned on its not like any of us were offered multiple choices on anything. Our emotions, likes, dislikes and turn ons are part chemistry and the way our brains are wired. As a man i personally could care less about what any culture or group of people determined as what is hot or not. All these guidelines and set standards based on who you are where your from what religion your skin color is BS! No wonder the world is filled with confused, insecure, fake people pretending to be someone they are not to fit in to these standards and dont have a clue who even set the standard for everyone to meet. A hard nipple doesn't always mean arousal. It can be from cold or hormones out of balance from a number of reasons. If anything guys in western culture really need to start operating with the big head instead of letting the little one run the show! Personally when i find a woman attractive it starts with intellectual stimulating two way conversation and then most important is the person inside the body. If either of those are wrong then im sorry big boobs hard nipples and even a perfect body isn't going to get me. Ever met someone that catches you eyes from a long distance because you find whats on the outside that attractive? But then you approach them and start a conversation... And the second they start talking every sentence that comes out kills it. Because no matter how good the outside appears they can be the ugliest most ignorant or arrogant person you ever have talked with. To me that's no turn on. Guys here are like male dogs when a female dog goes into heat. Even the smartest ones go full on retarded and can ony focus on one thing. Seeing a hard nipple is all it takes for most of them sometimes not even that is needed. Probably why they all struggle trying to have any meaningful conversation. Im sorry its that way for women! Its embarrassing to the few of us that are actually intelligent MEN not some common place dry dick guy! But after i get to know a woman and even the little insignificant details that most people overlook appeal to me and she is not just attractive inside and out but is beautiful. I find every part of a woman beautiful and sexy. Everything from how her back curves to how proportionate everything is. Maybe even how amazing she feels pressed against me. But im strange i guess because i can carry on a stimulating conversation while looking into her eyes not breasts the entire time. Furthermore if a man finds you really attractive and beautiful he isn't going to focus on a couple of superficial things about you. He will take his time and get to know you because you are so very worth it! Even when the time is right to go to bed together. He will worship and make love to your entire body and the main focus point during it will be looking into your eyes while softly touching you face thinking the whole time how beautiful you really are. Anything less is charity work!

If I remember correctly breasts were somewhat eroticized in the Song of Solomon in the Old Testament. Weren't they compared to luscious pomegranates or something? I can't remember. I guess a lot of it has to do with the fact that the post-pubescent female breast is a secondary sex characteristic even though they're not sex organs. And since in Western culture they are covered that leads further into their being seen as taboo outside the sexual or health care contexts.
As a sometimes recreational nudist/naturist I don't see the exposed female breast as an essentially sexual body part.

I voted other. I attribute the sexualization of breasts to sexual dimorphism, which refers to primary and secondary differences between the two genders. For example, the penis and vagina are two examples of primary sexual dimorphism because they are body parts that are only exclusive to one gender or the other. Height differences, voice deepness, and body shape are secondary sex characteristics, meaning that while they are often strongly associated with one gender, they don't have to be exclusive to them. For example, a woman can be taller than a man, a woman could have a heavier voice than a man, and for whatever reason, a man can have a more curvy shape than a woman, no matter how rare these traits might be. Breasts, even though they are strongly associated with women, can be found on men too if he were to take enough estrogens. Either way, when we notice sexual dimorphism, whether it is primary or secondary, to ensure that we reproduce, biology makes it so that we are attracted to the opposite sex based on traits that we don't have. That's pretty much how most creatures, not just humans, find mates. Thus, when a man sees a woman's breasts and naturally knows that he doesn't have any, he is attracted to it because he views it as a naturally feminine trait. It's similar with booty too. Even though both men and women have one, they are shaped differently based on gender. It's the sexual dimorphic differences that makes the same body part more attractive. For this biological reason, breasts are sexualized in practically every culture, not just the Western world. Even if a culture did try their hardest to make breasts seem bad and restrictive, the sight of a topless woman would still turn a man on from that same culture due to biology alone.

All the above. And there's nothing wrong with it. Breasts are beautiful to us men and they are zones of stimulation for women which can also get erect just like the penis does. Its like this by design. The only thing we have to remember is that women should not ever be objectified over this or anything else. She should always be loved and adored by who she is, then and only then can the breasts and her other parts be accessed/penetrated to show her on a physical level all the pent up love and adoration held for her.

Why is any body part sexualised? Its just human nature. But breasts aren't always sexual, it is when it's someone you like but I have never found someone breastfeeding to be remotely sexual because it just isn't, I think most guys agree with that. I also don't look twice when on the beach and boobies are everywhere so I think if all girls went topless tomorrow it would be normal within a week. by the way when I say I don't look twice I'm not saying I don't like seeing boobies but if you're walking past thousands you just stop noticing.

Because they evolved to be that way. No other primate develops breasts in the same way humans do. They fill with milk when breastfeeding and go flat when the young is weened.

We started walking erect and since our eyes were no longer at ass level with our mates, the breasts started to take on an appearance that is similar to the ass.

Pheromone production also moved to the arm pits since our noses were no longer in everyone's crotches day in and day out.

Breasts aren't sexualized only in western culture, it happens in Easter culture too. My husband is Asian, and he , for some reason, likes my thicc proportions. Lots of Asian men like skinny girls, but they like big busts, which isn't easy to obtain for most girls who are very thin. I just think that busts are sexualized because it's natural for women to be attracted to what men got and men to be attracted to what women have. That's what I think, if you disagree that's fine, but that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it lol!

In some cultures they are not. Or at least they are commonly exposed and guys do not get aroused. And there is a similarity there to nude facilities. People are comfortable completely naked, or having clothes on only when cold, and there is no overt sexual activity (Except for visitors not used to that). I think that we should admire them as a part of a woman's beauty, and even be aroused if the circumstances are right, but we should not have people getting upset over breast feeding in public.

I'm sure breasts are sexualized in other societies, but not usually to the degree they are in the West. Some other societies seem able to differentiate between seeing a breast in a non-sexual situation, and when seen in a sexual context. For many in the West, if you see a breast, it's sexual. That's the result of being in a over sexualized society.

I think sexuality and attraction to certain Bodyparts is good. Id think that the reason for the attraction towards breasts is that women can get orgasms from playing with them, which makes them quite sexual in my opinion.
