Growing up, i had to hear my mom having sex and it would piss me off. I was like one of those kids who was protective of their mom and just wanted the dude to die for touching her. I remember first hearing this shit when she created my sis. I was like 5 years old (year 2000). Traumatized me. I was crying in the hall, beating on the door telling him to get off my mom. His son (same age as me) would just come hold me and tell me not to cry and that it would be over soon. Sucked. Shit started back up in 2004 with her new boyfriend and their bedroom was always next to mine. Plus my bed shared the same wall. Ugh. I had to hear that shit for the next 8 years. Made me so mad. I vowed for revenge when i turned older. I wanted her to hear me, see me, catch me. Id have sex loudly, lively and publicly. I’d even be doin it on the porch when she was in the house. So many people tried to tell her bout me but she always stated “you guys are haters. My daughter would never, she's a virgin. you're just mad your daughters a teen mom.” Yea thats been her statement up until last year. Guess she's in denial I don't know. My dads no better. When i was like 10, he went down on his wife in the hotel while me and his other 3 kids were sleeping in the bed across from em. He just didn't give af even tho the wife told him we could see. I heard them once, i was probably 6-7, i had no idea what was happening, i only knew mom and dad locked themselves in their room and mom sounded like she was being hurt, so being a concerned son, i kept knocking and asking if mom was ok, this happened a couple times before the door flew open and she stormed out in a bath robe, she furiously told me to go sit down and dont get up. And i did. What hurt the most was i thought she was angry at me for being worried about her. I was probably in my early 20s before it finally clicked.

Yes, our mother was a screamer, and still is, but we were never effected by it because the communication with us was so good.

She would tell us that it was just a game that they liked to play that was fun for them and assured us that all was well.

Of course, as we got older, we figured out what the game was! ... lol

Even single people without kids date a number of people and have random hookups before they find someone solid that they are compatible with and get into a long term relationship. Do I know any single mom’s that have gotten married? Sure, I have two aunts that fit the profile. One was widowed, then in an abusive marriage with a violent alcoholic, and then widowed again on her third marriage. She dated tons of people before getting married to those guys even when her children were adults. The other aunt I don’t know her track record, she married into the family. I also have known a ton of single mommas that just kept cycling through men and dating/hooking up and it never goes anywhere. In general though the rule is most guys don’t want to get too serious about single moms. But don’t listen to me, ask single mom’s yourself about how hard it is for them to date.
