Technically as a female, losing your virginity is when your Hymen is broken. It then became modified to mean being penetrated for the first time.
The term has since been modified to include penetration by a penis, and even in some instances it doesn't "count" unless you are penetrated by a penis and it ejaculates inside you.

it only matters to the super religious men who want to marry virgins and are checking for a broken hymen. Being a normal healthy woman means she still has needs and a good way to delay having sex until one is ready or waiting for the right person is to use a dildo. i'd say technically you are still a virgin.
That all depends on how you define the word. It’s just a word. But I think the general consensus (which I agree with) is that virginity can only be taken by another person.
