To men who were circumcised as an adult: Is sex more pleasurable circumcised or uncircumcised?

People were discussing this on my other poll. One guy said that he had been circumcised as an adult and found sex to be more pleasurable while circumcised. I'm curious regarding what is the general consensus?

If you haven't had sex with both a foreskin and without a foreskin, choose the first option. I want the rest of the poll results to reflect the answers of men who have personal experience with both.

If they have phimosis, sex will likely be better without the foreskin. Phimosis can reliably be cured naturally though by just stretching the skin to where it functions normally.

A guys foreskin protects the most sensitive part of the penis from being touched by anything else. Why does it need to be protected? Because that part of the body is designed to be sensitive in order to give pleasure during sex. Anatomically the part of the body it protects is the exact same as a girls clit. A guy being circumcised is the exact same as a girl having her clitoral hood removed which--just like the penis--the clit would develop layers of callus over it therefore decreasing it's sensitivity. A simple way to relate to this is a guy with a natural penis cannot pull the skin back and walk about with pants on. The friction on his penis would be too intense. Guys with without foreskins can do that without any issue though because their penis doesn't feel as much.

So it is pretty easy to see that circumcision decreases sensitivity and is only beneficial if the guy has some type of incurable phimosis. Having less sensitivity will not make sex better in the same way having a less sensitive clit will not make sex better for a woman.

As I have been uncircumcised all my life, I've never had sex in any other way. I would have no clue about how it would feel to have sex circumcised.

Now perhaps some man who was circumcised as a young adult might be able to say how it feels both ways. However, to a guy who was "cut" before he became sexually active - say, as an infant - that guy too, would have no way of knowing.

All I do know is that when I first met my girlfriend - we have been together now for over a decade and have three children - she knew what an uncircumcised penis looked like, but had never seen one "up close and personal," so to speak.

The first time we saw each other naked - it was not even to have sex, we were changing into swimsuits - she looked over at me and said, "That is SO hot!!!"

That's it! I win!!! What guy does not want to hear that about his manhood - and I didn't even have to have sex. So chalk one up for the uncut guys.

However, I do have sexual experience. Just not as a circumcised man but only as an uncircumcised one. At best, you should have clarified the question. Indeed, by the criteria as you have laid it out here, you would get about a 95% "no experience" vote as, by far, the overwhelming majority of circumcised men were circumcised as infants.

Obviously not my personal experience but I've had two boyfriends that were circumsized badly. One sex especially organism was at times extremely painful.
Both did not have much sensation in their penis at the tip. Which made getting off very difficult. And yeah it made long sex sessions possible, but they didn't enjoy it a lot of the time so I didn't enjoy it.
Also getting either off with a BJ was extremely difficult.
And for the trolls yes some of it was technique probably, but one had been with over a dozen women and he'd never been able to come with a BJ.

So I feel there are definite risks. Sometimes it medically necessary of course but I really don't get the point the rest of the time.
It seems like if you teach your son's how to clean properly it would be fine.

Honestly out of the guys I know that are circumsized I'd say that at least 25% have complained of loss of sensation, bad scarring etc. Whether they had them done at a medical facility or by a religious ceremony I don't know. But it certainly seems to happen or at least it did as most of my friends are my age so they would had this done 1970s through late 1980s

There have been studies that show there is no difference between circumcised, and non-circumcised guys, when it comes to sexual pleasure. Of course, for the individual guy, they may find it different than for the average result.

Umm men are circumcised at birth. So we can't can't compare between circumcised or uncircumcised.

No less painful than doing it to an infant. They used to not use anesthetic on infants, and even in the past ten years it's sketchy. For adult men they can receive proper anesthesia, or be knocked out, plus have pain-killers in the healing period. An infant gets none of these, plus they have to wear a diaper around. I recently saw a video on infant circumcision and was appalled at the practice done in the USA. It's not religious or even necessary, but considered cosmetic surgery. Anyway, that video is on Youtube and called "Elephant in the hospital." There's apparently one called "American Circumcision" on Netflix, which may also be worth a view. Most of the world is intact, from the stats I've seen anywhere from 70-80% of men, so the USA is the oddball here.

Actual medical issues: phimosis (which can usually be treated by steroids and skin stretching from what I've read, but circumcision is faster), infection or skin cancer.

I knew a person who lived his entire adult life uncut through to his forties, and he hated the fact that he wasn't circumcised. The extra care you have to take and the possible health complications are apparently a big, sometimes painful, hassle. Maybe the US is onto something here.

I couldn't find reliable results of any medical condition prevention, either. But, using that same logic, removing any body part will prevent infection and disease to it. Apply it for breast cancer... and you end up at mastectomies for every woman. Or maybe prostate cancer, which is far more common in men. Just remove the prostate. Neirhetis a good idea. What's more, from some stats I've read, in the US alone, 100 boys die from circ each year. There's a statistically greater chance of dying from circ than even being diagnoses with penile cancer, which is itself not deadly if caught early, and usually happens later in life. I'm not sold on it, especially for infants. Besides, there's a market for foreskins, as they're part of skin grafts and cosmetics.

I'm not circumcised, but I have experimented in denying myself the foreskin action during masturbation. For the purpose of the experiment, I have penetrated a sex toy. I found it far more difficult to reach the orgasm without the foreskin. It took far more effort and time to reach the climax. However, once I have reached the climax, it was far more powerful than with the foreskin in the picture.
My method was to use medical tape to hold the foreskin back. During an erection, this provided some tension, denying me any sort of movement.

If you’ve got phimosis you’d be happier circumcised. There are minor advantages to a well functioning foreskin vs circumcised. Which people prefer may come down to personal preference. But between uncircumcised with phimosis and circumcised it’s going to be an easy choice.

I think you misunderstand how it all works. The foreskin usually pulls back when erect and during penetration (unless you have a medical condition). So the contact will be the same during intercourse.
