Aside from the obvious age difference, is there anything different - good or bad - about having sex with an older partner?

When I was 23, I had a girlfriend who was 46. She enjoyed having sex with me because I think it had been several years since she had been with another partner. She only wanted to have missionary position sex. She was willing to do it seven times in one night but she was very quiet and reserved in bed. Her age and experience did not make her a better lover.  When I was 25, I had a girlfriend who was 37. She had a very strong libido and wanted to please me but she was also fairly inhibited. There wasn't anything about her age that made her better as a sexual partner. When I was 26, I dated a girl who was 34. She had a very strong libido, was eager to please, was uninhibited in telling me what turned her on, and she was willing to try things that were new to her. She was a great sexual partner but I don't know if it was her past sexual experiences that made her so desirable. (All of this happened in a 6 year period in which I was having casual relationships. It was a long time ago in a place far, far away!) I concluded that, for me, a woman's age did not have much relationship to how much I would enjoy them between the sheets. What is your experience with older sexual partners?

How much of that was in the day when women were not "supposed" to like sex? Was the inhibition partly due to society? Women had their heads filled with all kind of guilt back then.

I'm not implying this is the reason. I'm just asking the question. Those women are in their 70s and 80s now. They were raised in a very different time, even different from people your own age. How much did it affect their psyche?

The consistent thing I noticed with all my sexual parters - which were all older women - is that they all knew what they were doing, and this made it a lot more enjoyable.

I have had several significant others who were older than me, and I found them all to be quite generous lovers and also very caring and considerate when walking me through new things in the bedroom. I never really saw a downside that specifically correlated to age in the bedroom.

What you say is true, OlderAndWiser. Age isn't necessarily a factor, however, it takes experience to become adept. Speaking for myself, I definitely improved over the years with experience. And the most outstanding sexual partner I ever had was around 35 years old. She must have developed her skills and intuition through experience.

I really don’t care about age, someone can be 40 and have been with one partner. Another person can be 20 and had a dozen or more. I do think that men who have been in relationships rather than only casual sex are more sensitive to their partners needs

Yeah, best case she still gets wet easily but it’s rare.

Secondly if she’s not taken care of herself her joints are like a bag of rusted nails. She ain’t going to be that active.

I've noticed this, age has no say on performance. If anything older chicks tend to be less experienced, all the talk up about them is very disappointing, I feel like that's just a couple of scenarios.

I was never really with anyone older except one girlfriend that was only 6 months older and in our 20s at the time so I really don’t count that, I’m not likely to go out with anyone older now
