Why are females so often associated with cats?

Why has the female gender forever been connected with cats in the imagination of so many throughout history.

Back as far as ancient Egypt, you will find cats as a connection between the feline and female femininity.

Why are females so often associated with cats?

We hear expressions like "The Cat Lady" and/or "Pussy Cat" or she's got a "Hot Kitty" ... lol

So what is the fixation between cats and females? ... do you know?

Its the little things, but cats I would call a little emotional, there is a thing about space, they will come to you when they are ready and very moody if you try to get them sooner, they have a preferred way they like to have things done. They like fish. They like to stay clean regularly. They think carefully before they do things. And they are affectionate when they want to be.

Cuz females have a lot of similar traits as cats A cat will show love and affection when it wants something , so it Will rub against your leg and purr until its gets its way then when it does , it Will leave , it might come back or it might not. Temperamental, sometimes have very nasty attitudes. Expects the world to be handed on a silver plate, yet (most of females I have encountered, however, not all) have very little to nothing to offer in return. Lazy, entitled, spoiled. Again this are some of the cases that I have experienced.

Besides catfight and pussy, I'm not so sure there's much of an association at all.. Cats are nominally less insane than human women. Also our feline counterparts usually want us to leave them the fuck alone until they are ready to be loved upon.
