You see if you are among a group of people who all agree that they need a sexual release. It feels like hypocrisy for them to settle for masturbation instead of actual sex.
I understand there are sometimes reasons not to jump right in with anyone but for an entire group to settle for a collective illusion of sex that would make no sense.
