How did you find out about masturbation?

I've always wondered how people started masturbating, because my origin story is weird, well I believe it's weird and I'll share it at the end. Like were you bored and just went like "I wonder what would happen if I do this" especially for the boys did you just stare at it be like "let me just slide my hand up and down and see what happens". For me, I was watching Big Brother and there was a question posed for one of the housemates and it had the word masturbation in it and I was so curious as to, why that one word would cause so much attention. So me being me curious I looked up what it meant and was like "wow" and watched a few videos and read a few articles about it and I just started doing it. Told you my story is weird.
