Have you engaged in any meditations that felt similar to orgasm?

I saw this article called "Why Meditation and Orgasm Feel the Same to the Brain." https://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/896692

I think meditation can feel relaxing but I would not say it feels the same as orgasm. How about you? If you have experienced meditation as pleasurable as orgasm: what meditations felt that way?

  • That is an interesting approach to that problem of society to have the need to be sexual 24/7.

As a matter of fact, I use meditation very successfully to obtain the exact opposite reaction, meaning that meditation allows me to suppress any libido peaks that I see as a total waste of time, energy and is in a way unhealthy for the body and mind.

Why unhealthy? Because people induce those libido reactions when they are strictly not necessary and therefore may cause a dependency of them. It is very likely to become an addiction just like any other one, like drugs, smoking, alcohol or caffeine and many more.

But I guess that you can misuse meditation for a number of issues that an also negatively affect the body and/or mind.

  • Meditation is nothing like orgasm. But sometimes you do get a peaceful feeling but no orgasm involved. When you cum sometimes it is similar to how you feel after you meditate but not the other way around lmao

  • I meant to vote C.
I never felt anything close to an orgasm. I have experienced some bizarre things while meditating. Some of the weirdest things were either having a lucid dream OBE where my whole body tingled and then I dreamed I floated up and out of my body looking down on myself or where I felt like I became one with everything around me. Usually as I doze off while meditating is when the world I have created in my minds eye starts becoming alive on its own as that is pretty cool as it turns into a lucid dream. However, I never recall having a boner or sexual pleasure from meditation itself.

  • I’ve never meditated, but I can only assume I would not. There seems to be a lot of ways to make some people orgasm, but the only thing that ever helps me is straight up masturbation. (Because I’m virgin. lol) The only other thing that ever turns me on is the sight of super hot women, but even then not nearly enough to do anything beyond making me hard.

  • Meditation feels good, but good like a diesel engine that can keep running. Orgasms are the rocket take-off. Much quicker, much more intense, over time the meditation can relax and feel better... but it's going to take a lot of time.

  • If you get deep into meditation, It’s better, by a lot.
    It’s complete bliss, Heaven.
Many think meditation is for relaxing, not the case.
Meditation is the expansion of consciousness, The way into deeper parts of the mind, The subconscious.
It can get very profound, The dreaming mind surfaces when you go deep enough.

    Look up: Holotropic breathing.
    It takes you very deep.

  • I once felt like I was high which was the strangest thing ever.

    • Did you vote?

    • @mistixs No I didn't vote because it doesn't really fit into any of the categories tbh because it wasn't similar to an "orgasm experience"

  • Closest i tried was an audio drug that was called Orgasm. It made me hyperventilate so i quickly turned it off.

  • I meditate regularly and you do feel relaxed, calm, can even get euphoric sensations. But it doesn't feel anything like orgasm, feelings and sensations are not same.

  • Absolutely...
    ... not !

  • No. I've meditated before but it's never been sexual.

  • I had to vote option 2 even though it wasn't completely true. Meditation is relaxing but not sexually pleasurable. I use it to de stress after a long day and to prepare myself for certain things.

  • I think they were called "wet dreams"

  • I am above my drive for orgasm

  • What the fuck?
    What the fuck?
  • Well ancient text from India and China explain the interlink of meditation and sex, which can create whole new experience.

  • My meditation sessions are about half as pleasurable as my intercourse sessions.

  • yes tantrik sex

  • I've heard of tantra and Kundalini meditations that supposedly can feel like an orgasm but I've only ever gotten a good high feeling.

  • Unfortunately, no, I have not, as I don't believe in hands free orgasms

  • Meditation can be relaxing but it isn’t pleasurable at all
