  • Chivalry, charm and a sense of humour will get you over the line!

  • Yes, but that doesn't mean it should be used just to get sex.

    • Yeah, it does otherwise we wouldn't bother.

    • @joeblow123 no, decent men don't.

    • @joeblow123 don't assume everyone is immoral like u

  • Being polite can go a long way...

    • ... in getting blue balls.

  • It did me some times xD

    • You get it

    • @Wowgirl30q, you women don't want a man who practices gallantry. You lie by saying you do but in reality you don't. A lot of guys today practice gallantry because women lie by saying you value that then you women turn around and say there are no real men left. These guys who practice gallantry are too nice and that pisses you off. These guy are just responding to what you claim to value but in reality you don't. The best way to avoid this is to be honest in the first place.

    • @joeblow123 nice isn't what some people on this site think and I assume your one of them you can't bee too nice to someone being nice is giving them what they want and satisfying them if something unusual fur filles that then doing that is being nice No?

  • It will help a guy who is already a "possibility", but it won't do anything for a guy who is on the "no way" list (for a given girl).

  • It would help in dating but a direct line bypassing the get to know you stage no.

  • Hell, I'll let the numbers speak, women voted almost 2 to 1 that chivalry will help get you laid. Guys think otherwise. I'm from the South, we hold our doors open, say maam, sir, and pull the chair out. I was shocked at how easy it was to get laid in other states until I saw how men treated their women on the whole.

    • What women say and what they do are two completely different things.

    • @joeblow123 That is true of many people, I'm just me, and let actions speak for themselves. It makes life much more simple lol

    • Words may be lies but actions are always honest.

  • If it’s to get Sex them no... it feels really creepy like someone moving in for the kill.. And you can pick up in it it... It isn’t something most guys are good at hiding.

If he’s just a respectful person it will help me like him more which ultimately will Make me more interested in sex.. but it’s not direct.

I just like courteous people. I won’t have Sex with a jerk. I also won’t be friends with one.

    • I know this was understood but the typos are irritating me @ If is to get Sex then no... It feels really creepy like someone moving in for the kill.. And you can pick up in it it... It isn’t something most guys are good at hiding. I also second what 0112358 said -though I’m paraphrasing bc scrolling sucks for me atm... I apologize. If I get it wrong. If so, then we can say I AM saying this AND I support what 0112358 says as well. 👍🏻😊 >> Chivalry is much more, and most effective, if she catches you in the act of doing what you normally do.. Assuming you “normally “ are able and willing to be helpful to those around you. If it’s fake, it is obvious and it leaves a worse Impression than doing nothing. Like singing off key To impress.. Not doing it is better.

    • "I won’t have Sex with a jerk." Yeah. Right. Sure. Uh-huh. LMAO

  • Sure it will.

You're MINE, harlot! And THIS is what I'll do to ANYONE who tries to stop me from having my way with you! HAVE AT THEE!!

Enough. Now, strip your clothes off and fuck me, or I'll slice your head off.

  • I think so. Yes. Many women like a man who makes them feel safe and treats them special. The photo is a good example.
If he's chivalrous in a smarmy way, no. If it comes off as an act, no.
I like women who apprecate being treated like ladies and know how to act like ladies. And that doesn't mean they have to be submissive.

  • If chivalry is a means to get sex then it has lost its meaning. Be chivalrous for the goal of treating your woman right and not for the goal of just getting laid.

  • Oh god no! Also seriously, taking dating advice from women? That's a good way of staying single forever. Its a proven fact that women prefer "bad boys", the men who are self centered, who are apathetic to others and who are generally self serving to the extreme. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/evolution-the-self/201204/why-do-women-fall-serial-killers
If a man wants to get a woman the first thing he needs to do is act like he doesn't give a fuck about her. then suggest, SUGGEST, he might have a softer side (but never actually show it because she will lose interest immediately (if their is one thing that can get a woman to want nothing to do with you its being vulnerable or expressing emotions (besides anger in which case they are fine with that). This is a fact, why pretend? All your doing is convincing men to be the exact opposite of what you actually want them to be, that doesn't help them or you.

  • This is one of those areas where guys think they know what women want but they don't. Most women still want a guy who show them respect and treats them like a queen. They want to have a guy open doors for them, help them to get seated, allow them to proceed first, etc. Guys, that doesn't mean that you are making yourself servile to a female or that you are being dominated. At the same time that I tell a woman that I will treat her like a queen, I also tell her that, in return, I expect to be treated like her king.

Will chivalry get you sex with the neighborhood slut? No. Will chivalry advance your cause with a woman who wants a serious relationship? With most women, yes.

    • You need to step into the 21century.

    • @joeblow123 You assume that my age means I live an anachronistic lifestyle and I am unaware of current trends, but you are wrong. I am actively involved in mentoring college students and I have frequent and close contact with them. You need to look at the poll results.

    • You need to look at reality.

  • More like the opposite. Women like guys who treat them like trash; Except when it comes to money. Then the man must be the old gentlemen type who gives her every penny.

    • "Women like guys who treat them like trash" Can do. "Except when it comes to money. Then the man must be the old gentlemen type who gives her every penny." No can do.

  • I said Yes as help is the operative word, she has to have interest in him other than that... just being chivalrous will not get him laid if she is not attracted to him physically or other personality traits

  • I don't think it's as powerful as "Charm" but it's a close second. So maybe.

    • It's all about the charm🙂

    • Southern charm in my case

    • Oh yeah!!!

  • It certainly doesn’t hurt his chances. But I’m not gonna spread my legs for him just because he’s polite and holds a door open for me.

    • Why not? He helped you when he could have just re-located to a private area. Rub one out, gone about his business and ignored you and you're problems.

  • Chivalry shouldn't be practiced to get sex...

    • It shouldn't be practiced at all.

    • @joeblow123 at least the basic politeness.

    • Oh you are one of those, never mind

  • If the guy really is chivalrous then sex ain't his end goal.

    • If by "chivalrous" you mean "gay" I agree.

    • @MoscowMitch LMAO

  • Yes, but if he is being chivalrous strictly in order to get sex, then I believe that drastically decreases his chance again.

    • So he better use other means to get sex.

    • @joeblow123 Well, being chivalrous includes intent. If you're only doing it to get sex then I don't know if that still counts as chivalry. And so it would negate the increased likeliness, wouldn't it?

  • With someone whos into that 1950s life maybe. "Chivalry" just makes me think if that guy who acts super nice in public but then hits his wife. And she's like "we have our bad times, but when its good its so good."

    • "but then hits his wife." Did she say something to piss him off?

  • It could...

    • I will malady :)

    • Then you are going to get played and friendshipzoned.

  • Not necessarily sex but it's a nice quality.

    • Sex is a nice thing too and that is what we are asking for.

    • Sex is a nice thing. But it's not going to happen solely on the quality of chivalry. And the ones who would have sex right away probably would have done it anyway.

  • If he picks her up and carries her that would be very chivalrous
