Why do many men have such a infatuation or fantasy towards porn actresses?

For me, “regular women”(women not in porn) can be just as attractive, if not MORE attractive than women in porn. I’ve seen more “regular women” at the gym, bookstore, grocery store, etc. that are leagues more attractive than even the most attractive porn actress. I think the reason why men gravitate towards these women is because these women are comfortable and open about sex. These women are playful, relaxed, and fun to be around. The thing is, a woman doesn’t have to be in the porn industry to demonstrate any of this. A lot of the most popular porn actresses aren’t even that attractive, yet they gain so much popularity just because they’re so open about sex and having it with so many people. This is perhaps rare to find in the majority of women, where the “regular woman” is pickier and usually requires more down time before sex can occur. Porn actresses are probably a relatively small percentage of women that are overly sexual, somewhat similar to men. The majority of women are not like porn actresses in terms of how they view sex.

I don't think they really do. Statistically porn stars are average (average hair color is brunette, average breast size is c cup, average height with average features). The thing that gravitates men to them is the fact that they are having sex. A man is willing to lower their standards for sex so their look really isn't the deciding factor of interest but rather their sexuality that is. Its a fantasy, just as women are obessed with bad boys in their porn (romance genre and erotic novels) men are obsessed with the "slut" in porn. Sex is hard to get for men so a woman who is freely giving it away is going to get their attention. For women their porn is turning the bad boy (which is why if you look at arche types of males in female media they are usually either vampire (kills to live), pirate (kills and robs) or a billionaire (generally ruthless but rich). Their porn is turning the bad boy into some one who is bad for every one BUT them, the civilization and taming fetish. So its just based on our biological drives.

I don't think it's about attractiveness. Are women of the general public more attractive, or at least equally so? Yeah! However, they're often not "easy". Porn actresses, by definition, are.

I think part of the reason is that, statistically, porn actresses are very sexually appealing. Biologists find males are more visually motivated than us females, so it makes sense that a lot of men would really like porn actresses. Add to this another behavioral trend, that many men enjoy the sexual hunt, and that porn actresses offer the promise of no-strings fun can also be very enticing to a lot of men.

I'm a regular chick and I have NOOOOOOO problem at all with guys being very enthusiastic about porn or porn actresses. It's their bodies. So long as they're happy and not hurting anyone else, they should be entitled to do whatever feels good to them. Twice I've even bought my brothers porn DVD's (as gag jokes)--but I had to do a lot of research to find porn I thought would be fun for them based on their personalities).

There are a lot of other very important implications from the study you've shared--especially in law, as the authors argue that since there is a more reliable genital response in men than in women, their research could be used "do with clinical forensic assessments of men who have committed sexual offences or engaged in other problematic sexual behavior. Genital responding is informative about a man’s subjective experience of sexual arousal, and this is very helpful in situations where the man denies sexual interests in illegal targets or activities."

This is one reason no-fault divorces are prevailing in most states. We don't own each other. If a man CHOOSES to give his "load" to his girlfriend or wife, that's great. But he has no legal obligation to do so. Just as even a wife can say "no" to her husband and if he pushes sex on her, the courts can and have found these husbands as guilty of rape as other men. Our bodies are ours and ours alone. This works both ways--for men and for women. I think that's what legal equality is all about. But I get that some people have different religious beliefs or even different secular ideologies. But humans don't always behave, especially in private, the way our publicly acknowledged morals suggest. I hope you and your bf/husband have a relationship that works really well for you both.

I never understood either, although I think I'm most attracted as far as character traits to a sense of "genuineness". I even seemed drawn to girls who are a little bit goofy, but unashamedly about it, since real life can be a bit goofy at times and hardly like what you might find in some porno or Hollywood film.
