Is this mark on my boyfriends neck a hickey?

So my boyfriend and I have been together for two years. I saw the bruise on his neck one day (the second photo down) and I confronted him about it. He didn't react weird. He said just said "idk what that is, its just blotchiness." I did press further and he said "im white babe, i get random redness sometimes. I did shave a couple of days ago." He then proceeded to tell me that he wasn't a cheater and that If he was interested in someone else he would just leave. I am still a little skeptical. He was at work that day. Do white people get random blotchiness? Is that a hickey? The first photo is of a hickey i gave him, the second photo down is the one I find a little suspicious.

White skin is a bitch. Sometimes I'll move in a weird way and boom I got a red spot. I'd say you can believe him. Hickeys -(at least the ones I've seen) mostly look darker and have small reddish dots in them where the blood has been sucked up. If he gets spots like this more often I would get suspicious as well though.

It looks like it especially since there's 2. But, what he said sounds legit to me. I sometimes get marks from shaving and I'm not even white lol. Give him the benefit of the doubt.

Looks all kind of shady. If you didn't give it to him someone else did. Or maybe an accident at work, who knows? Sometimes I get bruises and I don't even know how I got them.

Yeah that's not a hickey, looks like his skin just got irritated from shaving. I get similar ones around my adamsapple when I'm not paying attention
