Females are paid significantly more than men in straight porn.

An average female pornstar who has shot 5-10 scenes before will make $500-1000 (depending on her popularity) for a PIV/facial boy-girl scene at an established company. She can negotiate more for certain things: anal, creampies, interracial, DPs, BDSM, etc. She might do 1-4 scenes per day.

A "big star" that has very high popularity might get 5-10 times that, but there are probably no more than 5-10 of these stars at any one time. These are the girls who are constantly on DVD covers and at the top of online search-term lists: Riley Reid, Lana Rhodes, Elsa Jean, Gina Valentina, etc. would be current examples. Past examples would be Sasha Grey, Bree Olson, Jenna Haze, Jenna Jameson, Ginger Lynn, etc.

An average (experienced) male pornstar will make $200-300 per scene, and is usually limited to 2 a day. Thus, male porn stars have to work far more days per week in order to earn money, assuming porn is their primary or sole source of income.
The "why" is simple: men are the people who are spending the vast majority (89%) of the money spent on porn, and men are interested in the women, not the men.

If you're talking about gay porn, men can make as much as the women, but the body standards are higher and there are far fewer men who are interested and "equipped" who are willing to do gay porn.

No, hell no, women make more in porn. I researched this before thinking about getting into it and decided it just wasn't worth it.

The only way it would be worth it to get into porn would be to have more than one woman who say they will only have sex with me on camera.

They would make the same as they normally would, I would still make less than them, but I would get paid more than I normally would so that they will show up.

The demand wouldn't be there for a solo woman if I tried the same thing. I put in a lot of research.

I think besides sex appeal one reason for this is a guy can be in porn and not have it hurt other career opportunities. I can't imagine it being the same for women in porn, or men in gay porn. You take that plunge and you're locked in.

No, one of the few proffesions where women paid more than men, thinks it's a supply and demand thing, more women men watch porn wanting to see eomen and more men willing to fo it so lowere supply of women means they can demand more money to do it

There's no shortage of guys interested in doing the work.
There's far less branding for men in porn, it's all about the woman.

The women have a brand and they show their face a lot. Men don't show their face and aren't advertised in the same way so a guy is more easily replaceable.
