Why do women needed scalding hot showers?

It never ceases to amaze me how women can take such hot showers and men always seem to get burned when trying to take the shower at the same time. Do women just run hotter or perhaps maybe it's something a little deeper?

  • I'm strangely the opposite. I like the water temperature at 44 degrees Celsius (111.2 degrees Fahrenheit) and my wife can't stand it along with all of my exes. She likes it at 38 C (100.4 F). So we always have to compromise, especially for baths. She calls me "Edokko" since apparently people from Edo were fond of very hot baths.

I'm similar in winter. I wear short sleeves while it's snowing. I don't find it so cold.

    • Similar case with the air conditioner. I like to blast it and make room pretty cold. Every girl I've been with always wanted it quite a bit warmer.

    • For me though, and I'm not sure if the girls you are talking about work the same way, I actually prefer feeling quite cool most of the time. I don't like feeling so warm or too hot. But I like scalding hot showers and baths because it's like the shock that delivers to my body makes me feel super cool when I get out, and that sense of coolness makes me feel very relaxed (similar to blasting air conditioner -- or sometimes I do both ways).

    • For temperature, my body seems to generate a lot of heat. People always comment about how my body is so warm, like my hands or other parts with women -- and even guys for the hands. I think my skin or blood is also weird. I have issues with aging where people place me at mid-20s, and one thing I hear about is dry skin but I never get that... actually moisturizer makes me feel gross. So I might have oily skin or something... I also think something's weird about my body because mosquitos never bite me -- I've been on hiking trips with friends where everyone got covered in mosquito bites except me. So there's definitely something weird about my body. :-D I just don't know what it is. I have O- blood type.

  • Hot showers severely damage the skin and hair. For a man, it can even damage sperm and testosterone production. Its not healthy. Continuous stream of hot water has a damaging and drying effect on the skin and hair cells.

    • thanks for the mho.

  • I don’t take hot showers. I don’t like the way it dries out my skin and it strips color from my hair
