Thanks for the awesome responses so far. I'm happy to say that for the most part, great relationship has been chosen more than sex. Which shows to the women that think all men want, care about is sex is not true. Men and women alike, want a good relationship. Great sex is important, but if there's more communication, both is possible. I'm happy and restored my faith a little to see there is still people that value a good relationship the most.

    1. There really isn't anything that is bad sex, but some sex is better than the rest. A mediocre partner can always be taught to be a better partner.

    2. A rather small portion of y our life is spent having sex. When you are in a committed relationship and living together, much more of your time is devoted to the relationship.

    I've never had any of those but I've had a shit relationship with shit sex before though lol

    If I really had to choose though, I'd go with a great relationship with mediocre sex.

  • Oh definitely "great relationship with mediocre sex".

    Currently I would say my relationship with my girlfriend is "good enough" though not great, and our sex never kinky and almost every time "vanilla"

    And although I don't expect us to last, we literally together for more than a decade.

    And sex wise, looking back at our First Time, we came a long way. Being vanilla is not an issue.

    But me knowing her sex moves and preferences and able to fulfil it; and she knows what pleases me and able to lead me to paradise; even vanilla felt so good.

    So I hope our relationship will become GREAT one day and I think sex although not kinky or special, will still satisfy us.

  • That one is complicated actually, it really depends on why it would be mediocre. If its medicore as in just a normal regular relationship but not as spectacular as i had expected then i much rather just have mindblowing sex with my partner while still appreciating them for who they are even if the passion remains in the bedroom.

    But if medicore relationship would mean i don't really love them anymore and we are just together for the sake of being together i would much rather have medicore sex.

    • Perhaps if I only cared about mine I’d find more sex mediocre as opposed to bad, but I have this weird thing where I expect both parties to be reasonably excited and enthusiastic - even if a particular session is focused on only one of them. For the record I don’t believe communication is anywhere near the magic wand people act like around sex problems. Or relationship problems in general. Communication can help find a path that works for both of such a path exists and both are willing to work for it. But just communicating doesn’t fix underlying problems.
