I asked this question because I know that you're not supposed to use a douche and you're not supposed to use soap in your vaginal canal. I was curious how many women actually did that. For the people saying I'm a guy based on my questions: yeah, remember that time I asked if men feel pleasure while shitting, due to their prostates? I'm most definitely a guy /sarcasm

  • The vagina isn't "self-cleansing" in the way that many women online seem to think. When said that the vagina is self-cleansing, that means that the vagina naturally discharges unwanted substances regularly. That doesn't mean that the vagina naturally makes itself spotless and not requiring a wash. Thus, I clean myself down there in a straightforward way. When showering, I have different washcloths for different purposes. I use one washcloth to wash my body, and another one specifically for my ass and pussy. I also use two different types of soap. For my body, I use regular body wash, but for my vagina, I use feminine care soap, such as Summer's Eve. I simply take some Summer's Eve, lather it on my washcloth, and wash my whole vulva with it first. After that, I wash in between the folds of my lips because that's where the grime accumulates. Then I lift up the hood of my clit and wash in between there because it could get nasty in that area as well. After that, I take the showerhead and use it to rinse the soap from the outside of my vulva, squeeze all the soap from my washcloth, and use that to wipe up all the soap from in between my lips and clit. After that, I rinse in between them as well.

After that, I take a tiny amount of my Summer's Eve, put some on my finger, and gently bring my finger in and out my vagina to clean it out. I use a small amount to prevent the soap from completely throwing off my pH balance, which could lead to infections and, ironically, worse odor. This works for me because, in reality, there is only so much natural cleaning that a vagina can do. After your vagina pushes out all that discharge, lubrication, old semen, blood, and other grime, you have to take matters in your own hands if you truly want to be fresh down there. After that, I use my rinsed finger to rinse the soap out of my vagina. When I get out the shower, I make sure to dry it off completely because moisture could cause bacteria to feed and breed on your privates. Bacteria love to nest in the area in between your lips and clit, so I make sure the whole thing is dry as a desert to prevent odor. I then use a small portion of Summer's Eve deodorant spray to prevent that musty smell from forming as I go about my day, and add a small portion of baby powder to absorb moisture, as my vaginal area tends to sweat a good amount, especially on hot days or when running.

  • You should clean all the outside parts, the vulva with a very mild soap and warm water, go gentle with your hands. You should never clean the inside, that part is self cleaning with a delicate ph balance. When disrupted by soap, you can disrupt the inner ph balance, which can make the smell of and you can experience dryness. You could also give yourself an infection, so be careful. AND ABSOLUTELY NO DOUCHING. A douche is a thin spray nozzle you stick up there to spray soap in your vagina. THIS IS VERY VERY VERY BAD.

    • I'm concerned, the three girls that said thumbs down, are you douchers? If so, please please please consult a doctor, gynocologist so they can properly educate you on why douching is terrible for you, do not so it!

  • My SO is east Asian. She was taught by her mother how to keep her lady parts clean.
I have watched her so often I don't even get a sexual twitch. I do it for her when we shower together. She does it every time she pees.
*No soap or chemicals of any kind, ever.
*She floods plain warm water starting at the top of her vulva (at her clitoris) all the way down past her vagina to her anus.
*She parts her outer labia (she is a tightly tucked innie) widely with two fingers of her other hand to allow flow to reach every area behind them and then her inner lips for the same. She fingers her vagina shallowly (just inside) with two fingers while she is flooding.
She is always sweet and clean for oral, which I do frequently and confidently.

  • I use a gentle soap with no harsh perfumes. I love Dove or Caprina Goat Milk soap to just wash my vulva but I never wash inside my vaginal canal as the vagina is self cleaning and washing it with water and soap can actual cause a yeast infection.

  • D. I clean the exterior but not the interior

As long as I know douches don't have any effectiveness proven and could kill good bacteria. Same with soap, it can kill good bacteria. Killing good bacteria could cause an infection due to the disbalance of certain bacterias

    • So it is bad for alien parasites as it is for human women?

    • @Red_Arrow It's worst, we have to take care of 3 vaginas, not just one

    • Fun! Dick in one, tongue in another, and one hand playing with the last one. Alien vagina twister! 😂

  • It's selfcleaning.

    • Is it like a dishwasher where you put the soap pod in and set the cycle you want?

    • The only people promoting vaginal washing are those selling various cleaning products. Medical advice has always been against cleaning as it disrupts natural bacteria.

  • Rinse w water, the use washcloth, rinse again w water. No soap

  • I only use water, using any type of soap down there messes up my PH and causes me to get a yeast infection

    • I don’t know why you were downvoted. You’re only supposed to wash with water: anything else is not advised

  • If you put fucking soap in your vaginal canal you're a fucking idiot. That's extremely bad for your feminine health.

You should either only be using water or an approved vaginal wash.

  • If any woman here says they clean the inside of their vagina, they’ve been doin it wrong. You’re not supposed to do that. Just soap and water to clean the vulva is literally all you need

    • I can't avoid it lol If i didn't id feel dirty... I heard its bad but once a day is that bad?
