Why is it so hard to be honest about being a cross dresser?

To begin with I'd like to express that I am 99% straight but since a few years I found it a huge pleasure to dress in female clothes and lingerie but its something I keep secret from. friends and family.
I express my fetish for dresses, lingerie and female domination openly on social media using a different username than my own
I also like the idea of serving girls dressed as a French maid individually or at girlie night parties and I've even played dressuo games with girls online over webcams
I see it as good healthy fun but can only express myself through social media
I've had girls chatting and seeing me "dress" just for a laugh and I've never minded
I do find it a shame I can't be open about it with friends and family
Why is it so hard to be honest about being a cross dresser?

My question was not about being gay. its more to do with being open about the fetish Its a shame that so many want to side track my actual question and are obsesses with the sexuality side of things

  • I have a Godfather who says, "Men who wear women clothing are gays." He isn't against LGBT+ people, but he just doesn't believe a guy can wear women's clothes without being gay. I confronted him about it and it made me angry at him for saying that; that is just like saying girls who wear men's clothes are lesbians when some of them aren't. I was offended when he said that only gays crossdress because I wanted to wear men's clothes and I'm not a lesbian, I'm Pansexual. It is very rare for the opposite gender to like someone who dresses in men or women's clothing.

There is a famous actor who crossdressed in his own show back in the 1900s. He is a black man and his name is Martin Lawrence (don't know if you have heard of him or not). He used to play in several movies called "Big Mama" where he dresses like an old lady. I think he's still married. He's straight and he just does that for comedy.

In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with being a crossdresser. I fully support your fetish. Seeing a crossdresser, in reality, I thought the man has a unique fashion sense and still think that now.

Crossdressing has nothing to do with sexuality; it's the person's decision to wear what they wear. Not theirs.

  • 🤮🤮🤮🤮 yeah keep telling yourself you're straight. Maybe because you know it's not normal and shows you're mentally fucked.

    • Happily I know very few narrow minded people who think like you

    • Well makes sense mentally ill people would know mentally ill people to enable them. If being narrow minded is being of sound mind, I'll happily take that fag.

  • I grew up wearing my sister's clothes so I never thought anything was wrong with dressing in girl things. I do see some strange reactions in others. Perhaps the best way is to just be yourself and gradually move from androgynous styles toward the more girly when you go out. No dramatic announcement needed.
Good luck in your journey, and remember to have fun!

  • It’s a different fetish and its just not very acceptable I most places because of the stereotypes that are still in place. I would like to say we will see a more tolerant society when if comes to sexuality in our lifetime and the stride that have been made in the last couple years leads me to believe its a possibility

  • bc it's unusual for the society rules,, but who cares,, do what u want

  • this is hilarious... no straight man would do this

  • Not sure what it asking here it's your choice to not be open

  • Because soo many people are religious nuts who want to kill or hurt you

    • You don’t have to be religious to see how screwed up it is

  • Cause it's gay

    • It always leads to gay. You want to dress as a woman and be dominated by a woman. Ok. Sure, maybe that's how you see it now but this will evolve over time. Let's say you did meet a female dominatrix or whatever that are called. You dress for her and do sexual things. One day she decides to peg you. You accept, you are now in a passive sexual role but you don't see it as being gay because you are doing it with a woman. Time goes on and you are more submissive to this woman. She regularly pegs you which you accept and have started to enjoy. Soon, she wants to invite another guy and offer him your sissy butthole. You don't say no to her cause she is in charge in your relationship and if you don't do it, she doesn't see you anymore. Now all of a sudden you are taking real cock in your arse. Before too long, you are sucking and swallowing loads. You associate all this with the pleasure you get from indulging in your original fetish and realise you like it. Finally you accept that all along you are gay or transgender. Only more gay sex comes out of it.

    • I've been crossdressing for long enough to discover if it would lead to my becoming gay and i can still say that Im 99% straight I say 99% because in my whole life I've fancied one guy although we never had sex. so i admit that Im less than 1% opento the idea

    • Having "fancied" a bloke is more than 1% gay mate.

    • Show All
  • You hide it because you know it's shameful

  • perhaps because other people don't want to hear about it?,,,
I xd myself and just keep it private to myself and others who are open to the idea,,,
    In public I underdress often,,,

  • Nothing weird in 21st century...

    • Nice to hear

  • why? because it's gay that's why.

    • Narrow. mindedness

    • you may be straight but who as a majority dresses as women? besides women? trans people and transvestites... you are surprised that people react badly to that news? THEY THINK YOU ARE GAY AND DENYING IT god you're an idiot. Close mindedness? seriously? open your eyes first dude (or girl i don't know what to call you)

  • I love getting to wear a girls thong and having on a bra just makes me feel so naughty. I like that it's sort of looked strangely at. That adds to the turn on, I'm a bad boy, tell me twice ;)

    • No you’re gay

  • Because, in your heart, you know it's fucked up.

  • Because it’s not considered ‘normal’ by societies standards

    • Happily I know a large amount of people who find it normal, interesting, a turn on or fun
