It's pretty well known that the number one fantasy of men is two have two women at once.
Somehow this is accepted in society, and even the guy's parents would give him a high five for that.

Honestly, I am not sure that there is a double standard. Sometimes with some people, but as a general rule I think people just more or less accept what other people do in their sex lives as personal and not a matter for discussion.

True story, but in the early days of my relationship with my girlfriend - we have now been living together for 12 years and have three children - we went through what we now half-humorously call our "wild and crazy days." Those early days we had sex in public - on a beach in the Caribbean while on vacation - had sex in the same room with another couple we knew, sex with other people, and one thing that turned my girlfriend on was the idea of watching me have sex with another guy.

Very long story short - I'll spare you the details - my girlfriend had a gay friend who thought I was good looking and he agreed to have sex with me in front of her, so long as we also spent time just the two of us. At first I was not thrilled at the idea but - after much back and forth I agreed and for about the next 5 months I was having a gay relationship, including some threesomes.

My girlfriend didn't think less of me. It turned her on and made her horny. Frankly, although it felt good to me, interestingly enough and I actually enjoyed the sex, thinking about it made - and makes - me cringe more than anything my girlfriend thinks about it even now. For the longest time I kept that to myself - the irony being that when I finally admitted it to my girlfriend it is when we both realized how much sex between just the two of us meant to each other.

Could be wrong, I guess - and maybe responses to this posting will prove me wrong. However, I think most people, at most, shrug and think to themselves, "Well, it is not for me, but if it works for them, I'm okay with that."

Eh, society just has double standards, always have, always will, just deal with it. Men want fmf threesomes cause the porn industry has overglorified it even though most men have trouble lasting long enough to statify one woman, let alone two. Women have been granted sexual freedom not so long ago and some stigma remains which is understandable, plus we are the ones running the risk of pregnancy and are associated with the holy image of a mother and there is just no place in that image for mfm threesomes. Ok so I'm going to try to give you a males perspective on this seeing as the obvious is so impossible for you to see.

Men don't like looking at other men, unless gay most men don't find other men attractive, don't get me wrong we can see a good looking man and say so but that doesn't mean we want to look at him nor find him attractive. Buy there's a difference between wanting something as a fantasy and doing it. There's a world of difference between the two. Simply because a man does not internalize sexual contact of this nature not on an emotional, nor in a physical sense to be explicit about it. A man does not internalize nor though micro-chimerism retain DNA from sexual partners. In effect a man doesn't bring anything home with him, women do and retain it for life. Two things:

1. Women don't value sex in the same way men do

2. Without respect to attractive partner choices. By and large an average looking female can more easily have sex and/or a threesome than a hot guy trying to do the same. Because men are more willing, eager and prepared to take action on it than women are.

I think you're exhagerating the amount of guys that want a threesome. Then again some had it and only after that didn't like it.

They are annoying as hell. There will always be some form of third wheel. It's always exhausting for the lonely sex. There's so many things people are more into then threesomes. Um, I don't have that fantasy. As for why the taboo, its simple, sex is physical for men its not for women, on top of that in a relationship the man does all the work (he asks her out and risks rejection, then he pays for dates, he protects her he providers for her etc. etc.) and in exchange she gives him sex and intimacy so when she asks to have sex with another guy she is telling her SO that she wants him to take care of her and invest in her but she wants to give away the one thing she gives him, to some one else. I don't believe it's threatening to "all" societies, unless there specific taboos. My theory is more about "basic attraction". According to a 2015 study by Notre Dame University, women are more likely to get in same sex relationships than men. Unfortunately, I can't get a percentage off of that study just yet, but I believe that's the biggest reason. Most men just aren't attracted to other men's bodies, while women are attracted to other women's bodies far more often. I believe that, plus as you said the "stigma" of being thought of as "queers, fags, gay, wimps, cucks, ", etc, drive that.
