Guys, how long do you take before hooking up with someone else after a breakup?

I have never really put a time limit on it , I take my time , a time that I feel is needed to settle my emotions often I’ve threw myself back into work and social activities and sports Etc. I would only say that i have taken longer before moving on when I’ve been broken up with and I think that’s mostly because I’ve needed to process the why’s , hows ifs and buts. I have never ever found it easy to move on though , I truly believe that every failed relationship has taken a little piece of me with it

I broke up with my ex of more than a decade last Nov/Dec.

I wanted to wait but nature doesn't permit 😄😄😄 so I started looking around Jan.

Made some female friends but not yet dates.

But I think by March, I should have a new girlfriend.

I have had enough breakups now. So I know I usually have a dip in lonelyness after three weeks. I try to hit up old friends and talk to them. I start to look for affection but I just can't stand the thought of fucking someone else so quickly after a breakup.

Most guys are pigs anyways. And it depends how much they really liked you this is why I said most guys are just pigs is because they were in it for. Themselves so it might take a day or 2 before they find another to lead on but if the guy really liked loved you it will take a while

Not sure. Married 17 years. Marriage on its last legs. And I am have a hard time finding a play toy. So not sure on time.
But if I wasn't getting any in a relationship it would be possible the next day if I found a nicd lady to play with. Good luck

Usually it’s going to take a couple weeks to function properly in that respect. But that just means it’s under control enough to try finding someone new, not that the old feelings are dead. The feelings on average for guy last two years, in contrast to about two months for women.

This is a really broad question. It depends on the length of the relationship. I've been single just over a year now after an 8 year relationship and I don't think I'm ready to be with anyone else yet. I can't seem to have the patience or want to be with anyone else.

Yes the length does matter like if its a short one most guys wait a month and if its along term one most guys wait 2 sometimes more than 2 months

I don't set aside a specific amount of time. Where I'm at in my life, I know who I am and what I want. So whenever I meet someone else is whenever I meet someone else.
