Is it possible for guys not to stare at me or other girls in the gym?

I get we are in workout gear and doing squats or whatever but some of you stare or even purposely go on machines and workout behind us 😂😂😂.

Can you honestly not control yourselves boys?

  • When I was bodybuilding, I would deal with the same issues. When women see something they don't see everyday, they become just as fucking creepy lol. Weirdest approach is when a woman told me that she's in an open marriage, and told me that her husband wanted to watch a superior man fuck her. Yes, this encounter happened in the gym through a couple of conversations. People gravitate towards beauty and things that are extraordinary. It's just human nature. If you don't like the attention, then cover up a little more. That's why I worked out in oversized hoodies and sweatpants 90% of the time. If someone approaches you, be kind, but also direct. I'd workout with over the head beats, and everyone knew not to disturb me when I got my headphones in.

  • It's all biology. Your body is exposed and the positions workouts sometimes require are unintentionally suggestive. A male will stare because hormones go off, it's instinct. The real problem would be if any guy made physical contact with you based off of a biological response without your consent. That's what makes humans humans. We have the capability to inhibit instinct, not 100% but to the degree that an average person can be a functional member of society.

Also, we notice girls staring too, more often than is discussed. We just tend not to say anything about it because it's generally a compliment.

  • Why don't you try proper gym wear instead of tight clothing/spandex and see how many men actually stare at you?

I say that as an attractive woman who has used gyms across North American for 18 years. When I go to a gym I wear what most normal not-seeking-attention people wear. A reasonably fitted shirt & jogging pants or longer shorts.

Do men stare? Course. Just as how women at gyms stare at attractive men. But they stare because I'm attractive not because they're trying to figure out if my arse will split my pants while I do a squat.

  • I've been told by a man that if I didn't want male attention at the gym then I wouldn't wear such tight fitted clothing or shorts.

Yes, a man said that. To me. Like I don't deserve to have full range of motion and be comfortable while working out at a gym I pay to go to.

They really just can't control themselves.

    • Yes I have had this too its appalling x

    • Truly! 🥺

    • Who gives a fuck about what that incel said , he's probably the low grade among his peer groups You just continue to wear and do whatever you want

  • Have you MET a man? Do you understand what MAKES a man? If you did, you wouldn't ask these kinds of questions.

    • U nailed it bro 😊

  • If guys could not control themselves things would probably be a lot worse than just looking. If no guys looked at you at all you may have been coming on here saying how no one looks at you or gives you any attention and how unattractive you feel.
Plus you can't pretend girls don't check out guys at the gym.

  • No, we cannot control ourselves.

  • Honestly those leggings are asking for it. I'd stare to. Not because I like the view but it's just something unusual. Like a car accident. I mean there are leggings and then there is this... looks like they are painted on.

    • Personally I think they look great x

  • Thanks for making me vomit.

  • It's possible, but the outfit in the picture doesn't help if you're not looking to get stared at. Dress accordingly to how you want people to look at you.

  • I don’t stare at girls at the gym. I either introduce myself or leave them alone. So yeah. It’s possible

  • I don’t know when you go to the movie theater can’t you just not watch the movie being played on the screen? Can you not just help yourself? If you go out of your way to put your ass on display, people will see it.

  • Tight fitting in gym attracts guys attention. Not necessarily it has any dirty thought, body curves invite their stares.

  • I don’t mind the attention. I like it tbh

  • If that is actually you in that photo then I would say you have a really good chance of not getting checked out if you joined a disabled gym where the only clients were blind you work hard to get what you have you deserve to be admired and my opinion

  • If you don't want it, don't dress for it and we won't look.

  • I try not to stare but there was one girl a serious body builder that wore tight form fitting shorts kind of like the pic. After every set she would look in the mirror slap her butt cheek turn around look and slap the other butt cheek. This would go on for her entire workout. Believe me I wasn't the only guy staring at her.

  • Depends what you look like, right? You must suffer through the curse of beauty. This behavior is a "gift" from Almighty God. Complain in church. We CANNOT control ourselves, if we try we will burn in hell for eternity.

  • Dudes can control themselves, they just choose not to. 😒

  • When I'm at the gym, I don't care. I'm not there to socialize or stare at women. I'm there to work. I don't even go with my friends because it's a distraction.

  • Just look at that. And tell us how is that 🍑 not distracting. lol

  • Maybe but then that's really purple.

  • Nope. We can't. That's how we are programmed.
    P. S. Your pt has a nice ass.

  • Well if they are wearing like your PT i would be staring because i would think that she is naked, people stare at people too is they are dressing out of the norm

    • Yoga pants are the norm
