Why is sounding eager a turn off?

What is it about being too eager or excited that is a turn off in the early stages of talking to a girl?

  • 🤔🤷‍♀️Yeah I don't know I always like it when someone I like is acting happy to talk to me lol

people really know how to make anything Into a problem 🙄 and surprisingly- not- are useless to solve actual problems 😛

  • There is a fine line between eager/exited and desperate/clingy.
Most people do not realize when they cross that line, but thats usualy the moment when you get turned down.

    • Yeah that does make sense. I wonder how to prevent communicating clingy and desperate while being still being eager and excited.

    • Well if you want I am open to give you tips and pointers. I like to help people that want to improve themselves 😊

    • Yeah that would be good.

  • It's because it signals desperation and/or that you only want to get laid, because you barely know anything about her yet.

    • I could see that. However, that isn't necessarily true. It could just be a personality trait to be bubbly most of the time in general, like a happy drunk.

    • Can't you be excited and optimistic without being desperate?

    • Yes yes you can lol 🤦‍♀️😊

  • I need an exciting attitude for like the whole first year at the least lmao

  • It's nice when someone is excited to want to spend time with you. If a person makes it seems like they have nothing at all going on in their life, it can be offputting.

  • Nothing, exciting is great unless the girl isn't that into you in general

    • Exactly 👍🏻👍🏻

  • Because some people may not like it.

  • You sound desperate lol

    • Not if they like you.. then it makes them happy that you are into them

    • @VIVANT really? I'll remember that. 😛
