I totally disagree. After my first wife cheated on me, I embarked on quite a wild ride for a time and in my youth, I was quite the specimen, so I didn't have any trouble acquiring company. I must say that most women, with a handful of exceptions had no problem reaching the screaming plateau through intercourse alone.

I don't have any reason to doubt that that's true. The actual percentages may vary but I accept that probably a majority of women don't orgasm from penetration alone. That's just one reason why skilled foreplay and other activities are so important, guided by the woman's own preferences for what feels good.

My reading is that more than 75% do not reach orgasm from intercourse alone. My modest primary weapon may worsen that percentage.
Long ago, I chose to become technically proficient at cunnilingus and fingering. Very conservatively, I deliver an orgasm waaay over 50% and maybe more than 75%. With my SO its virtually 100% with cunnilingus.
There are ways to enhance intercourse to (I think) improve the percentage.
One is adding clitoris play during Cowgirl or Doggy. Gotta have long arms for the latter.
I think this doubles the odds..
The other is intentionally aiming above the cervix to the upper pocket where the G-spot is, although I don't have a feel for how effective that is.

Yes totally agree on this statement... I read it... sex to women is more emotional and psychological act... It needs time to achieve it.. Besides the research also stated that there are 2 types of orgams,

I fully agree. The reasons several women's doesn't orgasm are:

1) They haven't explored their body sexually.
2) Their partner doesn't have any idea what he/she is doing.
3) No one has a clue about what they are doing.
4) Sexual malfunction (physical/mental).

Well the article didn't exactly say that most women are unable to orgasm from penetration alone. It just said most can't do so regularly/reliably which is probably true.

Perhaps I am a cynic, but part of me suspects it could be related to penis size ie the women who are with well endowed men are probably more likely to achieve orgasm with penetration alone while the ones who are with average or below average endowed men are going to struggle to do the same.

Every women body is different and some women can have multiple orgasms one after another while some women can't etc. It depends on how turned on a women is. For some it takes time to build up the orgasm.
