It depends on culture. Some would not even bat an eye. Some would give anything to pop your cherry. Some think you are weird.
I come from a place where it is not expected to have a person losing virginity before marraige (maybe 25-30). And then moved to a place where 16 is commonly accepted as age to lose it. I even knew a girl who got hard time by HER PARENTS because she chose not to lose her virginity even after 18. So big cultural shock for me.
But for me, I dont judge now. No age is inappropriate. If you want, and are able to handle the responsibility, go ahead. Otherwise, no biggie.
Wow if my parents gave me shit for that I would be mortified i have no confidence I can lose my virginity that would just be torture.

Well... I'm just thinking: if you are staying a virgin just out of principle and to feel special... I actually don't respect it that much. But if you are just not that interested in sex... well that's just a choice. If it is the former I do think you are missing out on a nice experience.
