How do you feel about prostitution, stripping, and pornography? How do you think this affects society?

I used to say no! Prostitution is wrong! Make it illegal! But I just can’t anymore.
I truly believe that if that’s what you want to do, GO FOR IT.
i just prefer it to be regulated because the only thing I’m really concerned about is their safety. Sex trafficking is disgusting and I know it’s easy to get sucked into that vacuum if you aren’t careful. And don’t even get me started on the grooming and the rapists and the drugs!!! Just ugh 😩
As long as the government is overseeing and protecting everyone then i genuinely give no fucks.
I don’t care about Stripping because at least they have some protection.
Porn? Just... eww... not my cup of tea. I would be very happy if porn was banned. There are a lot of folks who claim they aren’t addicted but prove otherwise because they let it affect their relationships, social interactions, and sometimes their general productivity. Then again, plenty of others are just fine so... I’m on the fence.

To wrap it all up, none of these things do anything GOOD for us. There’s nothing about it that’s beneficial for society in general. The affects are all in the mind. Some are weak. Some are strong. It keeps us divided in that way and that’s not always a terrible thing... but any of these things could get out of hand and contribute to poor mental health and behavior.

These aren’t issues I’d slap a hard and fast no on but I do have some criticism.

I feel like people hate on these jobs too much. If nudity and sex was less taboo then I think all 3 of these things would be less popular and not be so looked down on. Like I dont think it affects society negatively or positively like they are just jobs. Some people sell cars others sell sex. We all gotta make money somehow 💸💸

*Prostitution has always been there. It fills a need. It's downside is its association with crime and human trafficking. Solve those with licensing and regulation and it becomes just another form of hospitality.
*Ditto lawfully operated strip bars. They provide entertainment that feeds men's visual appetite.
*Porn for adults is mostly innocuous. Underage porn is a big problem.
*Just as bad is exposing children and young teens to porn. It sexualizes them early and in a bad way, robs then of normal sexual discovery and corrupts young romance.

I have no problem with anyone selling themselves. As long as it's their choice, and their of age. It's really no ones business but their own. It serves a purpose. And I can get behind two of those things. Stripping and pornography usually have some form of agency behind them, whereas prostitution is closely linked to sex trafficking, which is entirely fucked up.

Would I do any of this myself? Probably not, but I don't think there should be something wrong with someone choosing to go into it.

prostitution is illegal where i live but places like the netherlands have shown that it can be part of a normal society. never cared for stripping really, just not my thing. porn isolates people more and causes a bunch of pervs on the internet.
