Why would a man who’s a nice person sext another woman daily while in a mostly long distance relationship?

Being a nice person doesn't mean you're not a sexual person. People explore their sexuality in various ways. Men easily separate sex and love-they are 2 different things like music and dinner-nice in conjunction but not necessary for either to be enjoyed independently. A LDR is tough, even with Skype and phone. BTW-does he sext with you? Or does he "respect" you too much or do you think its "icky". Also-have you ever discussed "ground rules" to the relationship? He may be sexting her without considering it cheating because there is no physical contact. He may also be using it as a masturbatory aide to "drain the worm" so he can resist physical infidelity. Just some stuff to consider.

Ahh okay that makes sense. He’s not my partner, I’m the one he’s sexting (we had some history before moving apart for professions). He now wants to take me out but I recently just found out he was messaging me daily and sexting during that time when he was apparently in a relationship with someone else. This made me rethink whether I want to go out with him again. Hence the question.

So I’ll keep it recent, short and sweet. He was apparently in a serious relationship but mostly long distance when he was sexting another person daily. They went on holiday for a couple of weeks with his family, he didn’t text the other girl for that whole time and she had no idea he was actually with someone then as he’d never once mentioned it to her even though she asked. Why not just sext his partner while they’re not together if it’s good while they’re together?
