The best length for a skirt is just a few inches above the knee. That's the safest bet for neither being slutty nor prudish. If your skirt is halfway up the thigh or higher, that's pushing slutty, and if it's below the knee or lower, that's pushing prudish. Though in my opinion, if you're struggling to strike the right balance, you should err on the side of prudish. That way, you can at least come back from it with a different outfit, without damaging your reputation.

As for the socks, I don't think there's any way the length of them can affect whether you're perceived as slutty, prudish, or neither. They're just socks. That said, please don't wear mid-calf socks. It's got nothing to do with sluttiness or prudishness, but from a fashion standpoint, they just look horrendous. Either go with knee/thigh high, or just wear regular ankle socks.

Of your options, I'd favor the third.

Gonna go with knee high socks and mid thigh skirt. Classy and sassy. I don't think it's trashy or slutty at all. It's just a fun flirty look.

I don't think it's 'trashy' but not everyone can make it work. I think you and I are about the same age, and I feel it's a look that's too young for me. I will wear a skirt above the knee but not mid-thigh as in the picture. Maybe you're different and can pull off the look. I think it makes you look younger if that's something you want to do. Of your choices, I'd pick the knee high socks and skirt just above the knee. I'm a vintage girl and as much as possible I wear 70s and 80s clothes. They wore socks then, but more often the look was bare leg or stockings. I do love socks though.

It’s not my style but many girls wear that. It’s not trashy nor inappropriate. I myself still more often wear ankle length, unless I had high boots that day.
