Do Women Prefer Care From Female or Male Obstetrician-Gynecologists? Why?

Male gynecologists are actually better gynecologists. I think their was a study but I'm not too sure. From my experiences and from all the women I've spoken to the males took better care and were more gentle compared to their female counterparts. Of course this doesn't always apply females can be better but more often than not males are preferred due to their cautious approach

Girls all the way. I'm the same way with doctors, I prefer them to be women over guys. It makes me feel a lot more comfortable and women know how a womans body works because they have one. Also its easier to talk to a woman about womanly issues and what not. Its embarrassing either way but it makes it slightly less uncomfortable.

I don't know, I wasn't bias at first but I had one male doctor at my obgyn and he was so rough with me lol.

Also kind of distant. I'm sure not all of them are like that, but the female made me feel better naturally. She was very understanding and gentle.

I don't know, I guess if I got man again I wouldn't complain. I'd see how it went, but I would just feel a little scared because of the last one.

Last I heard, it is evenly split between male and female OBGYN's. Some women prefer female OBGYN's and some women prefer males. Just personal preference I guess.

I've had both but defo prefer males they take their job more seriously because they have to. The females dont take anything serious and act like they dont wanna work. Like maybe that's just my experience

@pleasestopthis I dont think it's bad luck cuz its been about at least 10 female doctors in 3 different states and they all were that way. Like that's just my opinion tho you were prob a lucky one with a good doc

Because men are more sensitive towards us as they care about our well being and woman just don't care as they already have a vagina so it's normal for them to look at them.

I would just want the best doctor, but I can see good and bad to both. Women may be easier to talk to and it may put you at ease that she has the same parts as you, knows what hurts, what doesn't etc. But men may put you at ease because they don't have what you have. They can't compare anything of yours to theirs.
