The last girl I was pursuing planned to wait. And I liked her enough to try to wait with her. We ended up breaking up though and after the break up I thought wtf was wrong with me to even try such a thing? I don't think I'll ever date a girl like that again.

It's naive to believe that sexual compatibility is 1) something you can "sense" without actually having tried it (and by tried I mean more than just once), and 2) that sexual compatibility isn't absolutely crucial to begin with. And it's almost exclusively young and/or inexperienced people who believe all that - for obvious reasons.

i'm not planning to get married soon unless a woman convinces me to. what's the point of saving herself when she's probably not a virgin anyways? if she is a virgin and i like her a lot then i would consider waiting for marriage...
