Is my mum accurate by saying the way I was dressed caused me to be touched without my consent?

she said it seems I was screaming for attention.. by the way I wore it to a nightclub. The actual incident happened literally moments after this photo.

  • The cause was that person's decision. To preface, you are not at fault, but it would be silly to say that your attire did not influence that person's decision, but again, that does not mean it is your fault. The person who made the decision at fault. You can look at it this way, it's not your fault that someone stole your computer, but when you leave your computer unattended at a library while nobody else does, you're inclining thief to steal your computer specifically.

    • That did put it into perspective for me about the comparison to the stealing computer scenario. thank you.

    • You're more than welcome, and I'm sorry to hear that someone would do that to you.

  • Everyone's conduct is their own responsibility. But it is our responsibility to be aware of our surroundings and not provide inducement or opportunity. I am a reasonably honest guy. But what would I do if I saw a passed out drunk laying on the ground with a $100 bill in his hand?

    • I wouldn’t touch it, i’d Phone him a taxi because I believe in the law of attraction. but you have a good point... my mindset if you are what you attract so I guess I dressed a certain way and attracted a certain thing. but it’s been a valuable lesson for me.

    • And that drunk was passed out at a party. The edge of a bill showed out of his chest pocket. I pushed it down in and walked away.

  • It doesn't matter if you're naked, or wearing a burka or anything in between, it never gives a person the right to touch you,

That said, there Will always be weirdos who think its okay, so I always say, better safe then sorry. People haven't left there animalistic side behind unfortuneatly.

To anwser your quistion/to make a conclusion; no it's not your fault/yes they were just fucked in the head for harassing you.

    • what is wild is the first sentence you wrote was essentially only slightly harsher than what my mom said to me. she’s old fashion though. I guess sexual harassment is never gonna completely be non existent in our society regardless of how females dress

    • Owh, I'm sorry i didn't mean to sound harsh, I actually completely think it's never the the victims fault/ because that's litterally what harassment is. That is the whole point, That the person who is being harassed has no power of the one that harasses him/her.

    • Kind of reminds me of the outrage on angela merker's press conference about the rape crisis in germany, she said; "Try to keep them at arm's length" Imagine thinking you get to decide that🤣 Imagine the outrage.

  • There is never any just cause to touch a stranger without their consent.

However, why do you want to dress this way? She's right about the inviting attention part. I think you need to seriously consider what your motivations are. You must have more to offer than your body.

  • Anyone who does something to your body without your consent that is not your spouse is a nasty person irresponsible with lack of self control. If you are the most beautiful women out there you will catch people’s attention from both the good guys and the bad guys.

  • doesn't matter if you walked around naked, NO ONE should touch you

  • yup.. you are advertising to be at least asked out asap.

  • Your clothes are very revealing. But more importantly, they actually draw attention in a way that says you want more attention than just looks. So yeah, she is right.

  • I can’t really tell bc of the lighting but just because you’re wearing a certain thing gives NO ONE the right to touch you at all. You can wear whatever the fuck you want and no one has the right to do that period

  • Any guy would want to put a dick between those tits, so being touched is understandable. Don't be a party pooper

    • I like your opinion... are you so generous in real life 🤔🤔

    • @easily_andrew yes ;)

    • Wow.. @andreasucks.

  • The way you dress or act should never lead to inappropriate behavior or at its worst being touched by some random horny person. BUT. If we're being honest, there just are those nasty people out there, and when you give em something that sexy and out there, you trigger those people, and stuff could happen. Not saying your mom is right or you did anything wrong, but it's just factual that with that outfit you turn a lot of heads, including the wrong ones

  • It's never correct to say that. That's like blaming a mugging on the victim because they were wearing expensive clothes.

  • As Dave Chapelle once said, all because you are dressed a certain way doesn't give anyone the right to touch you but then at the same time I gotta tell ya you are wearing a whore's uniform.

  • It looks pretty sexy. I mean if I was there, I would have tried to pick you up, but regardless of what you're wearing, people shouldn't touch you without your consent. Some people think that what a woman wears gives them permission to do that. It doesn't.

  • Gee, ya think? But you already know that.

  • I was tryn to talk to you but commented under thotkiana option read mine n message me

  • Doesn't matter how you're dressed. People don't have their permission to put their hands on anyone because of how they dress.

    • Thank you.

  • There is no reason that someone should have touched you. It looks look your left boob is completely exposed.

  • Yes you made urself a target advertising all them goodies

    • But yes it def makes u a target an those are sum really nice goodies wow

  • No matter what you wear or if you are nude gives no right to anyone touching you.

  • Ur mom is correct, ur tits are hanging out what u expect?

  • I mean it probably. didn't help

  • I guess the display impacted.
But what do you mean by touched?

  • No. There is no reason that can explain why someone thought he could touch you in an inappropriate way
