  • Reading your replies, I found that your definition of having sex and making love is different from mine.

    To me, having sex is the monotonous act of thrusting a penis inside a vagina until one or both orgasms;

While making love is the process of enjoying/ establishing physical and or emotional intimacy climaxing in having sex.

Hence, to me, rough, soft, fast, slow, ... are the acts which may or may not contribute to making love.

The principle of making love is the after effect, where the couple feels closer and more in love with each other.

Hence oral sex, which I experienced, could be more intimate than PIV sex itself, is one of the ways to make love when the Giver done it out of the desire to please the Receiver.

And by the way, I don't view oral as kinky. Like kissing, it merely moves the mouth to the sex organ. 😁

    • I don’t mean that two people having rough sex would mean that they don’t love each other. Maybe it depends on the generation but making love has turned into something something more slang. Like something soft and slow. There are some couples that genuinely love each other but aren’t into “making love” type of sex. They’re more into dirty hard sex. Kinky was a bad wording. But they can’t still be genuinely in love.

    • (Not saying that you did say that I was saying that, I just wanted to make this more clear)

    • Got. it! And nice to see your perspective. Have a lot of sex, make a lot of love! 😜😜😜

  • Can you “make love” with traditional sex or is that more of an old-fashioned, traditional, procreation thing?

“Making love” is pretty much anything people do to express the very most intimate and deeply personal aspects of their relationship. Tying “love” to “sex” in this way has produced a good deal of unfortunate fallout that has resulted in more than a few broken hearts. Using the expression to describe performing a full-body massage (not even an erotic massage!) that takes several hours is at least as appropriate. Maybe more.

So, if engaging in oral sex is something that involves hours of totally-focused attention on the other person—when TV and sports and outside socializing with the crew don’t even come to mind because the people involved are THAT totally into the moment—then yes.

Oral sex can be “making love.”

  • In my personal opinion, what I consider making love is when you do a sexual act with someone you love and want them to feel good.

I have rough sex probably 90% of the time with my fiancé but we still consider it making love because we both love each other deeply and care about each other's pleasure even though the sex isn't lovey-dovey.

I think making love is quite subjective and everyone might have different opinions about it. So yes, I think you can make love with oral sex if you do it with a partner you love and care about and want to pleasure as much as possible.

  • "Making love" is an arbitrary term as it is, popularly used in the 90s as sooner you describe sex with out using the word sex. Most popular with TV censors, I believe. But, if you want to include that, or instead, go for it. But these days, nobody says "l"make love."

  • Oral sex is not freaky/dirty/kinky, and in my view making love means slow passionate sex where you're both really in sync with each others pleasure.

  • Yes.
    It can be both.

  • Good question. I think it's a little bit of both

  • Yes I can, to a woman that I love. I can excite her, arouse her, and satisfy her beyond what most women ever experience.

  • If the man takes it seriously (as do I) then it is ALL ABOUT making love. Firstly because it is to give her pleasure. Secondly because I pay attention to her reactions and adjust accordingly. Third, because I want to get better and better at it every day to give her the most pleasure it is humanly possible to get from receiving oral. My reward is when she cums and squirts and I can drink it all up. Teasing long and slow or giving 30 orgasms a day, my pleasure. No reciprocation necessary. That is (unconditional) love, at least the way it manifests in my life as my service / purpose.

  • Make love? Absolutely, positively yes. Cunnilingus is a pure act of love. Even when I see a gorgeous, random female in public, I may envision giving her floor slapping oral, expressing my appreciation for her beauty and its effect on me. A thank-you note of sorts.

  • You totally can

  • Oral sex can be VERY romantic when done the right way.

  • you definitely can make it romantic

  • i believe you can cause if you care about the person, you just want to pleasure the person, sounds like love to me ha

  • Of course.

  • No, because the term "make love" is erroneous and stupid. Sex is sex-- a physical act. Love is love-- an emotion. They are not the same, or usually even related.

If someone yells "I hate you!" and then punches someone in the face, those two are only somewhat related-- hate is a feeling, a punch is a physical act. It may seem like they're intertwined, but they aren't... you can punch someone with zero hate, or hate someone with zero punches. Love and sex are not the same thing.

  • Yes you can,
Its just like kissing ot very sensual and passionate.
Anytime you can kiss someone and it leaves. them wet and wanting you, lusting after you with their entire body and thoughts you know you made love

  • I can, no its its that dirty or kinky if done right.

  • I could not. The idea would violate my love and be an instant deal-breaker for me.
