  • Why do you assume we don't... I had a friend that at 16 she was abducted and forced on herion I met her when she was 30... It took her 11 years to leave the prostitution life behind every time she would talk about it her pimp would dope her up and say that no one loves you except this needle... Well I knew her when she was 3 years sober and her life was on the upswing... Then one night her boyfriend said he didn't love her in a fight then he says that she said your right no one loves me... She started using again and then she disappeared. We looked for months she didn't show up in the homeless shelters and the cops found her hooking in Arizona she lived in Texas but she didn't go back to her boyfriend and I think she's still a junkie... That was 2 years ago saddly he hasn't herd from her even took a trip to bail her out twice but the pimp was closer... I think we do a terrible thing by making drugs illegal... Her whole life would be different if she could be her own supplyer... But I hate the pimps if you stick a needle in someone's arm it should be attempted homicide or attempted slavery and they should be shot or hung for it... The men looking for the prostitutes ain't much better

    • Obviously but it's not what most people do think.

    • The social tides are changing... Some for the better some for the way worse. It's easier now for women to leave that life than ever before and as it gets more publicity of how and why woman start hooking I think that will continue to be the case... That being said I think the stigma on it and the adult film industry is a good thing women should be discouraged from going that route.

  • Cause they're not as well-known and probably have a lot more money and power than the prostitutes?

    • It makes sense. So possibly.

  • Who is criticizing the prostitutes?

Most places where prostitution is illegal will run "john raids" and will publish pictures of the johns in the newspaper.

    • And blame prostitutes for having no value or self-respect.

    • The problem ones are the streetwalkers, who are almost universally drug addicts, and who give BJs in alleys and in parked cars (along with doing drugs, muling drugs, etc.) They also tend to do little to protect themselves or their customers from STDs. Those are the ones who tend to be judged. Legal prostitutes are much higher class overall (even if that only means middle-class - that's still way higher than ghetto class), and get much less hassle about their work.

  • I never criticize prostrate. Rather I pity them for the lack of education and opportunities.

I think if given other choices, they will learn the skill and be out of prostitution.

Regarding the customers, I actually feel disgusted when I watched movie scenes of rich kids humiliating prostitutes with cash. I hope such ass holes don't exist in the real world.

  • That's usually when the person talking is a client or jealous. I never hide my distaste for men who use such services.

  • I criticise neither.

I have respect for the sex workers and indifferent to their clients, as long as they show the workers respect. People who don't respect the industry or those who work it have no right to use any of the services, including watching porn.

  • Do "we"?

    • Yes, absolutely.

    • speak for yourself.

    • Lol Just look around.

  • Do we? I thought I was automatically assumed that men who pay for sex are losers.

    • It's more the woman who's bad with no value. But men get away with it more.

    • I don't think that they do at all. Most men don't respect men who do that, and in fact the reason most men are against prostitution is not just because they see the women as being bad. They know that the kinds of men who these women have sex with or do whatever else for (webcam stuff, selling nudes and all that) are either scumbags, losers, or both. Most women don't respect those men either, not even those who do "sex work".

    • Maybe they don't respect. Though, this one of the most common male fantasies...

  • Both are disgusting to me.
The girl still grosses me out more.
I assume the guy finds her attractive... and it is one girl.
The girl must do 20-30 people a week... people she finds unattractive, fat, old, gross... it is gross just thinking about it.
100s maybe 1000s of diiferent people.
Anyway... both are disgusting to me.

    • Depends on the price. Some can get a lot of money with just a few rich clients.

  • Why do we criticize prostitutes but not porn stars?

Q: Do you know what the difference is between those two?

    A: one records it.

Really zero differences in the type of work. But the porn industry does it right with the testing and so on. If we had legalized prostitution and test people it would lower STDs and crime. People should not be punished for having sex. It's stupid. If people want to pay for sex, let them pay for sex. Just have it all tested prior. It's gonna happen regardless. Why not lower the risks and then tax the fuck out of it? Creating jobs is always a concern. This would fix that too.

    • Porn actresses are criticized a lot and have issues finding an other type of job afterwards...

    • I'm going to argue because I haven't any research whatsoever over but if I were to chime in with my opinion it would sound a little something like this- I'm not sure how accurate that statement is. Maybe those 80s-90s pornstars but today's pornstars are beautiful. And some of these women are making bank. They invest in some crazy shit. I think a lot of them really wouldn't need to find new jobs. They are basically set. Life is weird. But seriously that's I different point than I was trying to make. People give prostitutes a ton of shit but not the same amount to porn stars. The only difference is literally a camera

  • There is definitely a stigma with clients.

  • I defently admire the prostitutes bether then the slut girl. They are more smart for asking for money. But i hate thous prostitutes that give very bad service, if you don't like to do that don't do it any more and if they are obligate ask some how for help police, a nice client, on street etc.

    • It's a job lol. They don't do it for pleasure. Even porn actresses admit they don't get sexual pleasure from a scene.

    • Yes, i know, but they are asking for money, so is a JOB and you need to do you're job right so you can be pay, because if you don't do you can have problem like an angry client who can just give you a bad day or even a criminal. Sluts are slut for free (dump and lovley) Prostitutes are slut for money (smart but heartless)

    • Some prostitutes are forced and coerced to do so.

  • Because people are hypocrites and full of shit with "holier than thou" attitudes who are afraid to admit that they want to just fuck around.

  • i criticize both dont worry, the whore that sells her body and the desperate limp dick that pays for some cheap pussy 🙂

  • Because prostitutes provide the service, the clients are just the customers.. Think of it like drug dealers VS drug addicts..

In any case I actually have no issues with prostitution, I'd just never date someone that chose that as a lifestyle.. Too much risk of disease... And honestly I value sex more than that..

  • Because they need to get their nut off you can't blame them

    • They can masturbate.

  • The prostitutes will have sympathy, empathy and social worker support while they try to help them get off the street.
Males who use those services will be condemned, charged criminally and shamed for life.
So which sex is being criticized?

    • How hard is it for a former prostitute to change job?

    • Apparently very difficult. There are police services working with social workers in teams dedicated to just that.

  • I think it is because most the time the clients are usually very secretive and harder to ridicicule. And not like the pimps are gonna rat on their clients.

To be fair I think both deserve the same treatment.

    • As in if one is getting shamed so should the other. Though neither deserve abuse

    • What I was wondering is: Both are to blame and act in a very socially unacceptable way. However : The prostitute may need quick money and doesn't have other choices, maybe she ws forced to do this. No matter how disgusting the acts involved, she still get one thing, money. The client wants sex, that's it. Most know they may be involved into sexual traffic but they still go to prostitutes. Some are even married or in a relationship. How can anyone possibly justify this behavior?

    • Fair points. Honestly hard to defend anything in this situation. It is a tough subject

  • Why criticize either? Except the trafficking.

  • I've read most of the opinions stated here and most of them are pretty disgusting.
I don't care if a woman is a prostitute as long as she is okay with it. There are many women who chose this as a profession out of their own interest.
Also I don't care if people have sex for money as long as it is consensual. All people are not saints and they need their enjoyment. Not all guys are attractive or patient enough to find a girl they like. For them can these moral people suggest an alternative?
Why does society gets to decide how many people one sleeps with?
I know it is a sin, but does it bother an outsider in any way? So why torture them?
It is immoral, then the moral people should stay away from them and mind their own business and maybe teach their kids some abstinence. Don't sleep with a person if you know that person is a client or sex worker. So you won't have any risk.
Those who should be criticized are the agents and clients who exploits them, drugs them.
I think it is the continuing gender stereotypes that are always criticizing the sex workers as most of them are women.

We should also make sure that people aren't forced to enter into prostitution. Such people are a painful sight and they also diminishes the value of prostitutes. If we can prevent such people, then the industry will consist of bold women who can speak for themselves and will have huge demand which will force others to give them some respect. More money they make, the more precautions they can take to stay safe.

  • We arrest John's too.

  • The prostitutes are the ones who can withdraw allowing it.

    • Oh really? Why not the clients who pay for services?

    • If the woman refused to be one, there would be no one for the man to go to.

    • As long as there's market for it, there will always be workers. No client > no market > no worker.
