Why do some girls lose their virginity some weeks/months before their marriage to other men?

I have heard it a lot that after getting engaged, some girls hook up with men that aren't their fiancé. But now I have seen it. A close friend of mine has hooked up with two different women whose marriages were 1-2 week away. I don't know if they were virgin or not but they were engaged. And if they were sexually experienced already, they'd not have needed to do this. What makes them take this step? Also, is there any specific word for this?

The way they’re rationalizing it probably has something to do with either of the following:
a) They were virgins or close to being virgins, and they wanted to have some more sexual experience so they could better please their husbands, who may or may not have considerably more sexual experience than them, on their wedding night.
b) They were previously promiscuous, and they know that they are going to miss sleeping with a variety of different people after they get married, so they engage in these sexual escapades with other men as one last “hurrah” before they commit to their partner for possibly the rest of their life.

There are also a surprising number of people who believe that you aren’t truly committed to your partner until after you get married, so they may just not see anything bad about sleeping with other people before marrying their fiancé.

However she rationalizes it, it’s wrong, and I bet if her to-be-husband found out about it, the wedding would probably be postponed or canceled altogether, that is, if her fiancé didn’t decide to expose her and publicly humiliate her at her own wedding instead.

Your friend is equally as much of a piece of shit as those girls are, tbh. The only thing that could be worse than cheating on your partner is sleeping with someone you know is in a happy relationship, especially if they’re soon to be wed. As a guy, he should know how upset and distraught he would be if he were in the groom’s position, so why in the world would he do that to another man? Sickening.

Depends on the country as well, in my country adultery doesn't play a major role in the divorce laws. In most of the cases, if adultery is the reason for divorce, it doesn't mean immediately that the divorce doesn't favour you.

@Barry88 In the US you usually get a. Better deal in divorce proceedings if you can prove the other person cheated. When my aunt and uncle got divorced after she caught him cheating, she got custody of the kids and the house.
