If prostitutes had the same employment rights as other workers would you consider being one?

Alternatively guys would you be happier for wife or daughter to go into the profession if they had equal employee rights and protection just like any other profession?

  • Obviously women being exploited and forced into is a problem that has to be addressed on a global scale. I’ve also always found it strange that it’s illegal to offer sex to friend in exchange for money if you need it and are willing enough to do it. It’s more gross for the government to think it’s any of their business and that they can possibly enforce it. In fact I remember being a kid and finding out what prostitution is because the police did a sting operation in a nearby city and It made the news. Even then I remember being surprised that it’s illegal. I’d seen pornography and just thought sex was something older people do all the time. Speaking of pornography why is it legal to pay two people to fuck each other for the sake of recording it but not just because one of them wanted to and the other was willing enough.

Jim Jefferies had a show called legit which got cancelled but in the show he takes his brother with muscular dystrophy to Nevada to fuck a prostitute so he can lose his virginity before he dies. No one thinks about those poor people, shouldn’t they be allowed to have sex in a safe and disease free setting if some woman is willing to do it but doesn’t want to bad enough to do it for free. They’re healthcare plan or disability should cover it at least once and those women are angels for doing it and have a shitload of good karma coming their way.

Street Whores and Pimps and exploitation are a result of prohibition just like how organized crime prevailed during the prohibition of booze and the solution became worse than initial problem. Who’s going to work for some Shit-head pimp when they can have a basically legit job where they get to choose whether or not they serve someone?

  • No, STDs are pretty much guaranteed, and society would be too harsh on them too. I wouldn't want my daughter to pursue such a lifestyle, if I had one, for those reasons. As for my wife, if I had one, I wouldn't want her to cheat on me either, so no, I wouldn't be OK with it

  • Well we definitely deserve to be treated equally as other professions if not above them
I am lucky enough to work in an upscale place but overall we definitely need to have rights and if that happens i believe a lot of girls would join this profession coz its fun n joy with money

    • Thanks for MHO honey

  • There is something just so degrading about selling your body to me. I'm not going to speak poorly on those who are sex workers or desire to become a sex worker, but to me it's just dirty.

Even with all the same employment rights.

  • I think if it makes you happy and you don’t harm others while doing it (or at least with their consent 😉) why the hell not?

  • No, I would never have any desire to be one. However, I am also one of those people who is saving their virginity until they get married, so my views would perhaps be a bit skewed.

  • It's the oldest profession it really should be treated like a proper job instead of including it in escorting or massage services.

As far as a wife or daughter going into the profession that would be to be discussed.

  • I wouldn't be one, but honestly I wouldn't interfere with anyone who did it by choice.

    • Do you look down upon women who do prostitution online? Also, do reply to personal messages when time allows.

  • Sure do legalization, so who ever work there has proper rights and protection. Like casinos. However I don't ever want anyone to lose their unemployment or social welfare because they refuse to work in that industry. You should never be forced to enter a industry like that.

  • No, I don't avoid the profession for lack of benefits.

  • Maybe, but I don’t need the money and I’d rather fuck guys I’m attracted to

  • In my country it's legalized and regulated, but still I wouldn't want to be a prostitue, neither would I be happy if my girlfriend would want to become one.

  • If I was guaranteed no STDs and such, yeah probably.

  • What kind of "rights"?

  • Sex work should be legalized, regulated and the workers need to be checked for STD's on a regular basis and also the "customers" must have proof that they are clean also. Instead of spending money putting them in jail, tax money will be coming in. I still wouldn't want my wife or daughter in the profession no matter how legit it is.

  • I dont think i'd get much business

    • It should be legalised. It should be regulated like many other industries, paying taxes. My concern for a family member would be risks of disease and physical harm (though i supoose in a regulated brothel you'd hope this part wohld be far lower). But disease would always be a problem. Even if punter had to be tested every minth and get a licence to state they were clean there would still be a lag between potential infection and detection. I wouldn't be happy with family being in industry. But potentially provides good money and flexible hours

  • 150% behind the movement - no real interest in participating as a worker myself, probably just as well, I think my market share would be too small too pay bills.

  • Nah. Not really.

  • Disown or divorce

  • As long as they pay their Taxes and Union Dues to the Teamsters LMFAO

  • Its a job like every other one. I know so many guys and girls that love sex so why not make it the way you earn money. I would never pay for sex but wouldn't think bad of somebody that does that

  • I wouldn’t but it would be interesting

  • Yes. Sex workers deserve the same benefits that other workers
