Is it possible to be stimulated to orgasm by someone else, or yourself, and still be a virgin?

Let's say a guy or girl brought you to orgasm by hand, orally or with the use of a sex toy, but a real penis is never inserted in the vagina and you even have anal sex.

If you are female and never have penal-vaginal sex, or you never insert your penis in the vagina, if you are a guy... can you then still identify as a male, or female, virgin?

If you can still be a virgin this way, then is it OK to have all the sex you want in every other way except penal-vaginal sex and still remain virgin? ... is this complicated?

Let me put it this way... is virginity taken only with penal - vaginal sex and no other way?

A. Definitely! ... as long as a real penis is not inserted in a vagina only, there is no loss of virginity no matter what! All other types of sex are free game in terms of loosing your virginity

B. No that is not possible, any sexual play, even masturbating to orgasm, and anal sex will make you a non-virgin, sorry

  • There are multiple different definitions of virginity. But masturbation to orgasm still makes you a virgin. In terms of the question if it is "a penis in the vagina" that makes you lose your virginity, then what about all the gay people out there. Are they virgins while also having lots of sex? I doubt that.
I think a good definition of virgin is: A person who has not yet been sexually intimate with one or more other people.
In that definition you are a virgin in you experimented sexually with your friends as kids (that happens a lot), because it wasn't 'intimacy'. 'Intimacy' has an emotional and deliberate connotation to it. My definition also makes people who have been sexually abused, virgins if they consider their encounter as not intimate sex.
Only those who have engaged in intimate sexual activity with someone else has lost their virginity. If it is oral sex, gay-sex, fingering someone, or full-on vaginal or anal penetration.
It's an area with no clear definition, so we can kind of all make our own and classify what experiences we consider sex and not.

  • This debate can go for hours. How i see it! As long there is no penis-vagina action so the person should be a virgin.
    What do you think?
You don't say much! Do you?

    • If you look at my posts you'll see the opposite, once I start, I can't shut up... lol But I am also a good listener some times and like to hear what others think without my opinion influencing theirs is all. I agree with your opinion on this question Mr JL :)

    • I'll take it. Fair enough

  • Honestly depends on your own definition. Virginity is just a term used for someone who has not had sex. Would be kind of weird to say that two lesbians are still virgins because they haven't had p in the v sex.

  • There isn't just p/v virginity there's oral virginity, anal virginity

    • So if someone asked if you were a virgin, to be honest with them, you would need to tell him which?

    • If i were u, I would say yes I'm a virgin, cause they usually mean p/v sex, unless they specifically asked about other things

    • That makes total sense, yes!

  • I base losing virginity off of a dick inserted in the ass or pussy...

  • It's a POV thing. I can't imagine the definition of virginity being never having orgasmed or ejaculated before or there would be no virgins at all. I mean, people, especially adolescents, do that in their sleep or even accidentally. And it makes those who are religious feel like sinners. LOL

I always thought it applied to either a man who had never inserted his cock in someone's hole or a woman who had never had a dick in her vagina. Now days it might also apply to a gay man who has never been fucked in the ass.

I think, traditionally, it applied to a woman whose tender flower had never been smashed by a cock and forever spoiled. LOL

  • I wouldn't say a penis has to be inserted into the vagina specifically, but I think a sexual interaction between two people counts. For example, I would count anal sex as sex. Oral sex as sex. Etc. Still, I think it requires two people, so masturbation of any kind wouldn't be losing your virginity.

  • hahahahahaa, i have a friend who went to church, and of course they told her she wouldgo to hell if she had sex without being marrried, so she would only hve anal sex for a long time, because she was still technically a virgin. hahaha

  • This is exactly why I think virginity is overrated.
What you explained is actually something that "God fearing" couples do sometimes. They even go as far as have anal sex just because the vaginal penetration is supposed to be saved for marriage.
Trust me I know how weird and creepy it sounds but it be like that.

And virginity for men is also more psychological than physical really. Even after penetrating nothing changes it's just the experience that labels you as a virgin or not.

  • Self masturbation with no one else = still a virgin.

The moment you cummed with someone else's genitalia visible and aroused, even if not inserted anywhere = not a virgin anymore.

  • I think intercourse is required. I mean that's my view.

  • I think the importance of a girl's virginity, and how an unbroken hymen has been revered in civilizations since the beginning of time puts a pretty specific definition on what a virgin is perceived to be. Therefore, my answer to your question would be A. However, I would believe that there are some super slutty girls out there who could still technically (by that definition) be considered virgins.

  • The literal meaning of Losing virginity is when you have sex. Which is penis in vagina. That’s it.

  • Of course. A girl’s virginity is still in tact until she is vaginally penetrated by an actual penis.

    • Agreed :)

    • There’s really not anything to “agree” to. It’s not an opinion. The literal definition of the word virgin is a person who has never had sexual intercourse. Sexual intercourse refers generally to vaginal penetration. If you haven’t been vaginally penetrated by a penis, you’re a virgin, and if you have been vaginally penetrated by a penis, you’re not. That isn’t up to debate. People don’t get to pretend the definition of a word is something different just so they can use that word to fit their agendas. If you have to explicitly state you’re using YOUR interpretation of the word’s meaning or YOUR own personal definition of the word, then you’re already wrong.

  • Could you message?

  • I would just say. She was a cock virgin lol

  • You can have an orgazum with 0 genital contact, so yes

  • you define your virginity on your own terms. obvi for lesbians it is different. but i personally consider virginity loss penis in vagina. i have a super christian friend and we had dry sex until she orgasmd. but she considers herself a virgin.

  • In some cultures once the hymen is broken regardless of how she considered not to be a virgin. My opinion is a girl has to have sex with a boy pecker in her pussy which will mean hymen is broken she doesn't have to have an orgasm to lose her virginity anal sex is still sex and once she has a boy take her ass with his pecker she lost her butthole virginity and it the butthole is all she gave up then she's officially still a virgin the pussy and butthole virginity's are two different things one doesn't effect the other some would say if while fuckin the pussy the guy slips and goes in the wrong door as long as she kicks out of the backdoor (if a slip happens he needs to remove that condom and put on a new one or risk infection) and doesn't let him continue the buttholes virginity is still good. That is my professional opinion

  • if u are a virgin and hasn't had sex and you've never cummed you couldn't stimulate.

  • Virgin is an extremely loose term. People use it in different ways all the time, so you'd really need to put out a definition for me to be able to answer this. And the definition you use should answer it for yourself anyway.

  • Penis to vagina = no longer virgin
If we talking about Straight relationships.
I mean gay guys would be some what similar with anal

The only gray area im not sure about is girl on girl...

  • You know, when it comes to an attractive woman's orgasm, it's enough of a turn on to forget most definitions

  • With millions of people having thousands of differing opinion of what constitutes "virginity", the question really needs to restated in a more focused way. If the question were "is it possible to be stimulated to orgasm without penetration and still be a "virgin", we are able to start seeing the shades (50?) of meaning. Just ask Bill "the mouth is ok, Monica" Clinton.
