Why is nudity censored?

Question

I really don't understand the big deal with nudity. It's how people look without clothes and what's wrong with that?
They can show full blown elephant sex on the national geographic channel but you can't show boobs even in a nonsexual context. Why?

The problem isn't the nudity itself but when you release that you will be flooded with it and keeping it non sexual will be difficult. It will just end up being porn.

Then you need to monitor so kids aren't posting which is already difficult and something even legitimate sites have problems with because you can't always tell by the video or photo if they are in legal age.

Some argue that kids will see but personally that's not really dangerous at all. We have made nudity something so sacred which it never used to be in the past. Nudity in tribes is still common and seen as normal and usually they have great mental health with minimum or no mental health problems.

I think society is so sex oriented that any human nudity is seen as sexual. It goes too far at times, one example being schools not letting girls wear shirts that reveal their shoulders because it’s too much skin?

I don't think we should censor nudity. I have a young child and we don't try to avoid him seeing nudity in film or TV, but we do avoid violence. Nudity is far less problematic for us than violence.

True story. Went to on a vacation to Japan with my cousin who used to live in Japan. Watched too much hentai and Japanese porn that I started seeing pixelated effects on Japanese people.

So many potential reasons. Guys don't want people to see their s all penises. Women are afraid that , on will be more attracted to a different woman. Most people look uglier naked. Traffic distractions.
