Here in the U. S., yes.

The variations in the people here in the Union is freaking crazy!
• As a kid, neighborhood friends included twin-girls of European-decent who were not only taller than me (despite being much younger than me), but were even almost as tall as our doors… while in middle-school!
• At the same time, I've met women much older than me, but not even reaching my shoulders! I even had a female ex-coworker was so short, I explicitly remember thinking to myself how she can already be an adult, but be so freaking small!
• Back in high-school, when I was training in martial-arts, I saw a girl with impressive skills, but didn't interact with her, since my focus was on learning skills and achieving black-belt status, not meeting people. She was the same around my height, so I (mistakenly!) assumed we were of similar age. About 3-4years later, I heard her friends greeting her for her 13th birthday! Imagine my shock!

That said, I'm taking no chances. I'm staying platonic unless I see a legitimate, unexpired government-issued I. D.
