First, being an author or professor does not automatically make someone correct.
Second, the book wasn't discussing science, or an actual scientific study, it was discussing social history, and history books are replete with errors, to say nothing of social studies. It turns out that oral storytelling isn't the most accurate form of recording history, and it also turns out that personal biases affect the narratives - often tremendously so.
Third, there were over 1,000 separate, independent native tribes and civilizations in North America in the 17th century when early exploration was happening - much less the thousands of years before that - and even if a few of the larger tribes didn't have rape issues doesn't mean that the same was true of all of them. And much of it could simply be semantics - if another tribe conquered your village, and the tradition was that the women surrendered to them to be paired off as wives, then that might not have been "rape" in that culture in the 17th and 18th centuries, even though we could call it that today.
Of course, none of those facts would fit that SJW's narrative, so they would be ignored, and anyone making that argument would be labeled a racist rape-apologist, because SJWs can't defend their facts, and prefer to make personal attacks instead.

That aside, I got to think on this galaxy brain idea. I think technically rape is a crime defined by law for non-consensual sex (which has probably happened since sex existed). Now who was the first to define non-consensual sex as a crime? If it was a white person then the post is correct. Of course I am far too lazy to research this.

Rape has been around in all cultures as far back as history goes, and no doubt existed before there were historians writing things down. In present-day, rape still exists all around the world, and people of all colors perpetrate it and people of all races are victims. Most rapist/victim situations are such that both are of the same race. In the USA, a solid solid majority of interracial rapes are black rapist and white victim.
Perhaps white-man society identified and passed laws against sex forced beyond one’s will and thereby defined rape. In the creation of an attempted decent society, the white man might be responsible for the definition of rape and thereby might be responsible for its “invention” on paper legally with the motivation to eliminate it. Prior, rape was a tribal jungle event unnamed.
